Hurricane Tracker For iPad Reviews

Only for major storms

FL panhandle resident on

United States

I’m disappointed in this app. If you are interested only in named storms of Tropical Storm strength or higher which threaten the US mainland, then it’s for you. But there is little to no reporting of Potential Tropical Disturbances or Tropical Depressions, nor of full-blown hurricanes that are not threatening the Us mainland. (The info on Hurricane Oscar, currently parked over Cuba, is over 48 hours old and the site it reporting “no threat to land”.) Given the quick growth of storms in the Caribbean and the Gulf of Mexico this season, we need earlier and more current information. And unless you pay for the Premium graphics, you get basically a reposting of info already available from the National Hurricane Center.

I wish I could give it a 5 star

Mynoot on

United States

But I can’t because it is always an hour late with information! Even today I got a notice from the national hurricane center that Oscar had formed. Well, almost an hour went by until HT posted it. And during Helene, the 1 PM advisories weren’t posted until almost 2PM! And that was typical of all advisories.

App is too cluttered with ads

Even though I upgraded I am constantly being bombarded with upgrade ad. And none of it fits on the ipad correctly. Move on people.

Pop up request for money

Elberta john on

United States

I loved the App and even paid $25 for the premium content. Now the app keeps popping up an ad even though I already paid. If they would stop those full screen pop ups, I would give 5 stars. I will certainly not be paying for these annoying advertisements again. Especially since I paid for the premium content. I can understand having those annoying pop up in the free app. But once paid, they should go away…

Layout and links

If you like tapping what should be a link and going nowhere you will love this app. One of the hardest sites to navigate. Layout needs to be user friendly.

Quit bugging me…

…about upgrading to premium. I paid for your app already and just need basic information about coming hurricanes. I’m thinking about deleting this app and using the NOAA website to get the information I need.

Best app out there right now. I live in Corpus Christi Tx. Used this app during Harvey. It's the best app out there. I deleted the other hurricane apps that I had. Keep up the good work. We , on the gulf coast need this app. Thank you for your work. Just wanted to thank you for all the work you do on this app. It's still the best one out there. This app. Was so useful to me this hurricane season. Thanks again.
