HWPO - Training app

Been using this app for about a year now. Tried a couple of different programs and it’s been so helpful. Stopping the subscriptions is easy and simple. Can’t stand it when you have to spend ages in numerous small print menus to try cancel or pause a subscription. Fortunately this isn’t one of them. Have recommended the app and programs to several friends at my local box. None of us have looked back

HWPO programming is wonderful: well thought out and effective. But the app is mediocre at best. 1. The app has no rounding options, so weights percentages are accurate to one decimal place - not a massive issue just inconvenient since it’s feels like a simple oversight. Just being able to ‘round to 1, or 2.5’ would be nice. 2. You cannot ‘complete’ a day without checking off the GOWOD stuff, which is another subscription- feels grabby to have it here. Yes you can lie and tick it all but that seems a bit weird. 3. There’s no tracking for weights used where they’re not prescribed, like accessory stuff. Instead you have to add weights and reps to notes, then find the corresponding workout from last week to see what you did. 4. There’s no progression metrics (max lifts over time, prescribed weights over time, workouts completed, etc). 5. Having to click out of a session section (main lifts, accessories, metcon etc) and then into the next one within a workout is a bit annoying but very minor. Having this laid out as one page would be more convenient. Overall it’s a nice spreadsheet presentation without any functionality. Gets the job done but could be better considering the price of a sub. “Strong”, “Gravitus” and apps like these all have much better tracking and usage functions.

I’ve tried all sorts of programmes this one is legit , from the warm up to the “strength” to the metcon it’s got everything

I have given the guys 5*’s because they completely deserve it. The App makes you part of an incredible, special community of people. It is absolutely fantastic, I cannot recommend HWPO highly enough, it maybe virtual but HWPO make me feel like I am part of their gym family.

Money well spent! Love the app experience, and the programming is exactly what I needed. I absolutely love it and can’t recommend it enough!

Started this program about 80 days ago and love. Good program and focus on staying healthy in long run.

The HWPO app is excellent, not only is the actual programming very good , the app itself works very well with very few , if any glitches. In the seven weeks of daily use the app has worked every session with no reason to ever close , restart, reboot that other apps suffer from. The content is very comprehensive and feels as close to a personalised program without the huge monthly expense The attention to detail is excellent
