I Learn Chinese Characters

This is a great app. I always come back to it. When someone asks me what’s a good app for learning Chinese I recommend this one. 最好！

Like the fact that I learn the most common characters first, so I am already recognizing them on the street. Also learning the sequence of strokes and pronunciation. Would be even better if could hear the phrases, as in the examples given, so I'd put the sound of the character in context.

I use this app to help my daughter to increase her vocabulary in Chinese. It's very helpful for her to learn how to write Chinese in proper sequence.And help her to memorize it. She loves doing the progress test. Can't wait for more contents. Keep up the good job.

Love your app, please add more to it like once we have learned a section some sentences to read using what we have learned. By far the best learning Chinese out there.

Really great app, with very interesting and useful explanations of the characters and how they came to be used the way they are today. This app is also very good for learning to write Chinese characters. All I would ask is to keep the new levels coming! Thanks.

A version with traditional characters would make this more useable for many students. Also, more characters should be added regularly.

I love it

This will not teach a person the Chinese language, but it makes a handy reference when one is working with pinyin and wants to see what the real words are. The progressive study has the worthy goal of quickly familiarizing a novice with Chinese text to make it less intimidating. The percentage learned status displayed here is deceptive, however. I have completed enough levels supposedly to be able to recognize over 60% of characters in typical text, but from my experiments with Chinese newspapers, it is closer to about 40%. The number of errors in the English text also increases in the later progressive lessons as if less proofreading were being done. An amusing example is where a bride is described as "newly web."

One of my top 5 APPS I like that it shows you stroke order, and the color code when you write a stroke in the correct order.
