Description

iArrest was developed to give healthcare professionals a powerful tool to navigate stressful and challenging cardiac arrest calls. Whether as a Paramedic on scene or as a clinician in hospital, this app can assist in running structured and effective adult cardiac arrest scenarios. Developed by clinicians working in large inner city teaching hospitals, this app takes into consideration the most recent Resuscitation Council (UK) Guidelines 2021.

It serves as an aide-memoire for basic tasks that can easily be overlooked in stressful scenarios. iArrest also incorporates a number of timers to assist with rhythm analysis, adrenaline timings and arrest documentation. It will remind the user via audible and visual cues about necessary interventions even if a clinician’s phone is muted. iArrest has been programmed to prevent phones from going into sleep mode, in order to ensure continuous use throughout the arrest.

iArrest will record the exact time an important event or an intervention has occurred and present the user with a detailed log of events. These logs can be copied to the clipboard and used for documentation and record keeping.

iArrest is currently undergoing extensive testing in simulated and real world scenarios.
We are continuously improving and expanding on iArrest’s functionality.

iArrest Reviews

Great but needs paeds option

Wonderful and very useful app. Wish you had an option to make it paediatric specific too.

Recommend it frequently

Resus Officer UK on

I’m a resuscitation officer, both use this and recommend very frequently, very helpful. See it being used more and more frequently in resuscitation attempts. I would love the option of adding a few of my own criteria on the list you use but still does the job fine. Well done and thank you iArrest people. Some post arrest checklists / RSI could be handy if you want to expand!!

Brilliant app

Fantastic app. Very useful for pre hospital practitioners also. One thing I would love to see is an optional metronome 👍🏻

Organised

I’ve used many different Resus apps but this one is by by far the best. Easy to use with an easy layout. Timers for reminders so you don’t have to watch the screen like a hawk. I used this on a resus and it felt like the calmest and most organised resus I’ve ever done. Only one thing missing and that is Amiodarone from the drugs list.

Good app but needs to include amiodarone

Good app but other drugs needed like amiodarone. After ROSC might be a good idea to include tachycardia and bradycardia algorithms and their respective drugs and pacing etc.

Every arrest needs one

It a perfect guide to assist you with running an arrest. In hospitals they tend to have a person timing. Prehospital there just isn’t enough people to do that one role (most of the time) This app does that role for you, alarming for your rhythm checks, and reminding when your drugs are due. I’ve used it several times in anger, and after showing it to my colleagues, most of them now use it.

Good App

This is a good app, however it could benefit from the ability for the user to make slight modifications that would suit their environment. Eg it indicates to “call for arrest trolley” however if being used by a pre-hospital provider this might be more useful saying “call for further resources”.

Simple yet essential app

davidtfranklin on

The app is simple in its layout and in an environment where there is stress and often loss of situational awareness this simple format is a vital tool in recording essential events and key information that will ultimately go on to help guide a patients care but also provide more accurate data to allow development and research on improving the care that is delivered during cardiac arrests. Highly recommended and credit to the developer for creating such a simple yet essential app

Simply brilliant.

Have used this in multiple arrests and introduced it to colleagues both junior and senior who feel it improves their confidence and calmness during acute scenarios. The added function to email the log and print it is very clever as well and keeps notes much more accurate than they would be otherwise.

Excellent practical app!

GasDocRP on

This is an excellent application which enables any member of the resuscitation team to log the key times and decisions made during a stressful cardiac arrest. It’s simple to use interface and clear labelling ensures that it is incredibly easy to use and user friendly. I have used it at actual cardiac arrests and as a teaching exercise during ALS and ILS Courses. Would strongly recommend it!
