Small annoyances ruin the experience
I have played a little further than to stage 1000, and my conclusion is that this game could easily be made much better with a few tweaks to the UI. Some of the menus where you can make game related decisions, like dismantling items and such, fail to display all the relevant information that you need to make those decisions, so you often have to back out of the menu to find the information elsewhere. For example heroes are separated in tiers (A, B, C, and S), but those tiers are only displayed in one panel in the entire game. You also often lack the information about which heroes are assigned to your team, and which are deselected. One mini game in particular is extremely annoying, because it requires you to reconfigure your heroes’ equipment several times, because unlike all the other mini games, this one requires you to use heroes that you have otherwise deselected. I dare say that the entire game would be better if that mini game was entirely removed. That would be the easy solution. Better still would be to change it, so that it is less of a nuisance, if the developers can afford to do so. If those annoyances hadn’t been there, I would happily have continued playing the game without much thought, but now I’m led to consider the wider philosophical questions about if this game is worth my time, or if I can find an activity that is more rewarding, and my conclusion is that I cannot see the point of playing this game at all, since it is not a satisfying experience and there doesn’t seem to even be an end to the game. My conclusion: I don’t want to keep playing, and I won’t recommend others to play it either.
