Crashes on iphonexr running ios14.0.1

As per title, I cannot even load the app. It crashes on loading the splash screen.

This from the IEEE?

floppybonnet on

It’s sized for an iPhone. There’s no iPad version at all. It forces you into portrait mode on an iPad. I cannot seem to read Spectrum, and I’ve lost the ability to read offline. Disappointed this is the best the IEEE could produce. It does give me my member details though.

Many bugs

This has many bugs, as it says that you can you ieee card to the apple wallet, but you can’t. It tries but sticks on a loop. This is a wide spread problem, when the developers are just contractors that don’t care for the product.

Terrible app

This app has had issues on my ipad with latest ios from day 1 and now I can’t even sign in with my ieee password

Good App with Potential Improvements

ZackarySilva on

As a new IEEE member, I feel there’s a lot to love about the app. However, I think the online reader should be implemented a bit more “elegantly” across the board. For example, some magazines are easy to read with the ability to scroll left and right while others require up and down scrolling. Consistency would aid the ease of use and general utility of the app. Additionally, some of the UI interaction is tedious. For example, adding interests is tough when you can’t read the whole interest name. I may just be picky at this point but just a note!

Does not meet expectations

Sockerpaws123 on

The downloaded pdfs don’t have navigation features and if you try read content online you get 404 errors. I would have thought there would be a way to peruse the table of contents of publications and easily read articles of interest but not seeing it.

Current IEEE President

Hello, my name is Alex Quilty, I am currently the IEEE CH4 Calumet Region president, and I am learning how to use your app. I really love the idea of the app because it helps students and others learn what their membership allows them to do, and what kind of tools and information are available out there as well as being able to see your membership # at a quick glance is super useful. However, this app needs serious improvements. Some parts of the app are downright unusable, for example the Privacy Settings does not even properly appear on my iPhone SE2 w/ iOS 15.4. Some parts of the app are just broken, or very odd at times. As much as it pains me to say this, the app needs a lot of work. I look forward to this being a better tool though for students in the future.

Not useful for magazine reading

Brokendude789 on

Magazine interface Is terrible. No working links, cannot copy, if I want more info about a topic in an article, I have to exit and search for it. The hard copy magazines are better. Needs serious improvements.

Decent App

gtucker78 on

Online reading across magazines is not consistent. Decent navigation for Spectrum and strictly PDF for Software. Needs the ability to save your place when reading abs exiting the app. It’s very frustrating to have to remember where you were and navigate there each time.

Bad update

AlphaPetz on

United States

App is crashing when I attempt to open it.
