Description
Guzheng is a Chinese plucked zither that has a history dated back to 500 B.C. It is rich in playing techniques. The performer plucks the strings with his right-hand fingernails, while his left-hand fingers apply pressure to the strings to execute vibratos, slides, other embellishments and occasional plucking techniques.
iGuzheng supports many playing techniques as an acoustic Guzheng:
- Playing techniques for Right Hand:
Pluck, Gliss, Tremolo(Shake/摇指) / Automatic Tremolo, Overtone
- Playing techniques for Left Hand:
Pitch slide, Samll-Vibrato,Big-Vibrato, Tap Pitch (Dian Yin - 点音)

Be careful...
DOES NOT WORK with ipad mini using iOS7. Keeps crashing. Tried downloading - deleting -reloading three times without any improvement. "App Support"no help. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Would be good if there can be more demo songs
Latency
Too much delay between the gesture and the sound coming out - i.e. latency - destroys the experience of playing this. The sound quality is a bit uninspiring too. The pitch bend is too 'precise' meaning the bends sound artificial somehow. The drag to the right gesture which repeats a note has a fixed repeat rate which would be nice to alter somehow. I saw a real Guzheng played in a movie once, some old Chinese guy in the rain, whilst two famous actors fought. The Guzheng sounded really mysterious and good. I wanted this app to play like that - alas it does not. Third time I ran it, no sound came out. Tried killing it and starting again - no luck. Other apps like ThumbJam still generating sound. So will probably have to restart my iPad 2 and see if sound comes back.

Good guzheng approximation, limitations of sample instruments taken into account, this is simple, feature complete and pleasant to play.
