Really love the app, but at times the ui does not accept input and I cannot do anything. It also displays a message “don’t panic” Will try to reinstall the app and see if I can get it to start working again. Thanks for an awesome app though! Seems like a factory reset triggered from the settings got the app working again. Will increase the rating to 5 if it does not freeze again shortly 😊

I actually own and still use a real HP48gx, arguably one of the best hand held calculators ever made. This emulator is very faithful to the real thing. I actually downloaded and imported all of my programs from my real HP48gx to this emulator without problems. The emulator does have a few bugs. It crashes on occasion with an invalid address exception and it doesn’t retain its state after shutdown and restart. Both are minor issues. Update: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app and it now saves its state across shutdown and startup again. I also reimported all of my programs and libraries from my real HP48GX. Great job, Alexis!

This is awesome. This is the best 48GX emulator for iPhone that I’ve found. Love it

I’m a Party Chief for a land surveying company. I used the HP 48GX with the survey cards back in the early 2000’s when I started surveying. Now I just use this app for calcs and Bench Runs. Thank you to the Dev.

I had an HP calculator when I was in school. I have always preferred RPN-style calculators, so I was very happy to find this one. It works great; I use it every day. Thank you!

Love it… except I consistently get the following message: “Don’t Panic” Which prevents me from using the calculator. I thought it would never catch me when. I needed it. Welp, that day arrived today. I needed batteries for my real HP48GX and thought, “your phone will work.” Will be reuploading the normal calculator app that came with the phone. Bummer…

Mine just crashed on4/12/24. Couldn’t get it to work so just deleted the app, came back to the App Store and downloaded it again. The color for the keys, screen and background changed and no longer look like the original calculator. Anybody else see this? Can it be fixed? BTW, love it and been using it for years.

When it works, it works great just like regular HP48. Unfortunately, apps crashes/freezes continually, which is only resolved by deleting and redownloading. It’s to the point where I will use almost any other calc-app. I keep circling back, but problems always resurface.

I have used the 48 GX sent college and this app has a blank screen the majority of the time. Fix it please!
