IHSA Golf Reviews

On line scoring for Illinois High School events

Golf Rules Coach on

United States

Excellent way for high school golf events to score in real time on line. Best thing about the app for coaches is the elimination of manual scoreboards at the end of tournaments. Saves at least an hour at the backend. Love it.

Good when it works

Match organizers aren’t required to use it. My player indicates it doesn’t always work at the course. Organizers then don’t go back and enter data after event is over. Majority of matches are not available.

Waste of money to pay during playoffs

We paid $40 to have access to watch boys and girls sectionals and your app keeps crashing.

Unfortunately, this app isn’t updating and is over an hour past play time. I paid to watch my sons game and haven’t had an update in over an hour. Seriously needs fixing…otherwise it’s not worth your money.

Want $10 when you sign up

IHSA should be ashamed.

I’ve NEVER heard of a sporting event where you had to pay money to know the score.

Tell me before I go through your whole registration process that you want money. Typical Illinois crap.

This app is simply amazing for coaches and parents. It’s easy for the kids and tracks statistics. Even easier for the parents. Thank you IWanamaker.

Secure Scoring Feature!

IL HS Golf - BB on

United States

The app is solid for what you get. It allows you the ability to have complete hands off when dealing with scoring and this pandemic. We in Illinois were scepial at the start, but with some help from Doyle (Tech Support - who is AWESOME), we were able to do many different events. From dual matches to scrambles. I would have taken one star off because it had a scramble function (which didn’t work, but is supposed to be when we have our event next year, and once again - Doyle helped do it for us behind the scenes). As well, we had some issues in the conference with athletes changing opposing pairings scores, and with a few quick clicks we eliminated that ability. It also has a time stamp, and an electronic signature. Finally, the app does take a little bit of getting used to but has been enjoyable to use for all the coaches in the conference. I do wish in the future coaches can update events on their phone instead of their computer if they need to when on the course. Hoping that’s a future update!
