The cameras are snapshots not videos. The photos aren’t updated instantly. Some are from a year ago.
We were traveling through Illinois on our way to Florida. I wanted to use 511 to ensure our safe travel during these winter storms. I could not figure the app out so I’m deleting it. I would put a major city in and there would be no cameras available. It would be nice if they configure this app to be the same as Minnesota and Iowa so at a glance I can tell where it’s safe to drive or not.
I just want to see a map of road conditions with a legend. This is confusing
The cameras are cool and all but why not show traffic, construction, weather closures, etc?
Love this app! Helps monitor weather at certain intersections along my route and I can see if there are any delays with construction season coming up. Glad I found it!
Interface is easy with a scrolling map and easy adds to specific routes. Make one for the trip to grandma’s house, one for your commute, one for your area during inclement weather so you can prepare for your ride to Taco Bell.
