Each entry is produced by individually translating and explaining the terms involved. In general, the Illuminator has been praised for its absence of mistakes, excellence of presentation, and the exceptional and forward-looking quality of the work contained within it.
The dictionary is an ongoing work. A new version of the dictionary, with substantial improvements, is delivered at the beginning of January each year. This 2017 version includes everything in the 2016 edition plus all of the new entries and editorial work done through the end of 2016.
