Welcome to I’m Ready, Test – an app you can use to get free HIV self-testing kits and sexual health information for prevention and care. Our app offers a discreet, supportive, and user-friendly way to get tested for HIV so you can know your HIV status and take care of your health.
Upon creating your profile, you are assigned a unique, anonymized user ID – this is so your identity remains confidential. FYI - We will be asking you a few questions so that we can continue to improve ways to reach people who need to get tested, and the overall app experience. With this ID, we will know which survey responses are from you, without knowing who you are.
After you answer an initial survey, you can choose to have self-testing kit(s) delivered to your home (or another address) – or you can pick up a kit at one of our partner pickup locations. Once you have your kit(s), the I’m Ready, Test app can guide you through what to do when you test. You will also get a pop-up to ask about your results so that the app can suggest follow-up prevention and HIV care resources that you can access.
There is also the I'm Ready, Talk app – If you need support anytime (before, during, or after your test) – just click on “support” so you can connect with a peer to get help.
We will also be inviting you to fill out brief follow-up surveys to find out how you’re doing, remind you of the information you can access, and whether you were able to connect after you tested with the care or support you needed.
With I’m Ready, you now have everything you need to start taking control of your health.

Terrible app and no real help
I'm supposed to be filling out a survey but it will not load (waited 20 minutes and gave up). Also, Face ID will not work, constantly tells me to please try again. This has been going on for over a month. Also, I just bought a new phone and it turns out you cannot transfer your progress to another device, I had to start all over even though I'm already through 2 of 3 tests and now the app keeps telling me I'm not finished the surveys. When I contacted them, they confirmed if you delete the app or reinstall, you lose everything and need to start over from scratch. Seriously, how can I start over when I don't have enough tests kits??? It will not let you bypass any of this and they told me to just re-do the really long surveys. I did that and it's waiting for my first test even though I'm on the 3rd which isn't required for 3 more months but now I have this app hassling me. No, I'm done! I threw the last test kit into the garbage. This is a terrible system! You're stressed enough about taking an HIV test, I don't need to be stressed about the app as well. I cannot believe a company would release such a poor app, they need to find a reputable developer and start over!
