Great app but missing a key feature to pinch to zoom.
Without a doubt, this is the best selfhost-able photo backup solution out there
Gets better every update. I’m hosting with UnRAID and using iPhones. My wife and I can back up and share photos easily and automatically without paying a subscription fee or storing our data on other people’s servers.
Thank you Alex for such a great app!
Viewing HDR still broken. On any HDR capable iOS device, colors are washed out and look wrong. Please update to use correct color profile with HDR!
I never thought a self hosted app can rival something native from the big guys like google , apple and Microsoft , but this is it! Don’t read this go download the app and figure out docker containers and get this going yourself. Google photos got nothing on this.
High hopes after reading the comments on Reddit. Turns out, all the comments are from a combination of AI bots and the same 4 real people. The purpose of the app is for “self-hosting” NSFW pictures in an attempt to hide their infidelity. They also share photos that are “solvable”; ie: they have a hidden layer that typically consists of images of local or washed-up musicians, and “I heart you” scribbles that look like a 2nd-grader wrote them with their non-dominant hand. I can’t give this app-trash a lower recommendation. Response to dev comment: You obviously aren’t disagreeing with me, and I stand by every comment about immitch. In response to your question about my day: it wasn’t a tough day at all… productive and lucrative… definitely not spent trying to hide pictures from my spouse, and other zero-income poor uses of time. r/selfhosted came up with a lot of alternatives.
Viewing HDR still broken
I’m very impressed. As I understand it, this is a solo developer effort and perfectly does the job it was intended to do. I love being able to self-host the server app easily via docker compose and have backups from anywhere using tailscale. No issues yet, thanks for this great app!
