In My Eyes Reviews

Close, needs to be customizable

Futurethink on

This is helpful to a degree. Please add customization options. I would like to be able to alter the degree of waviness, and to change the size of the blur spot, and the value of the blue spot.

Some accurate, some not

I do not have the Google cardboard headset, so I used my camera. The wavy line effect is excellent, and true to my vision. The blind spot visual is WAAAY too small. Mine is huge and blocks out ALL central vision. The macula in one eye has been totally destroyed by a scar. The “spots” in my other eye are the size of a lemon, and it’s like looking through black lace. This doesn’t represent a real picture of my vision, but it’s a good start.

After last update. App crashes. It is not usable.

Terrible and misleading

A256W on

United States

This app is completely inaccurate and could be very misleading for those trying to understand the vision experienced by those living with eye disease. I have wet macular degeneration. This app in NO WAY simulated what I see. It is very misleading. One of the problems is it does not properly track the center of vision. In your app one could easily move their focus and “see around” the spot of missing central vision. This is not the case for me at all. Also, the “blurry” simulator does not come close to simulating blurry, out of focus viosion. This app should be removed.
