I love iNaturalist
This app is amazing. I love taking photos of plants when I go for a walk in nature. iNaturalist has helped me learn to identify the species of many plants I wasn’t quite sure about.

Easy to use and rewarding citizen science
I love iNaturalist! It’s probably the most user friendly citizen science app I’ve used, and it’s remarkably accurate with its suggested identifications. I tend to capture and upload bat records - and always see the same experts in bat ID confirming my identification and leaving comments, and I love the sense of community that comes with that!

So great for people who love exploring wildlife and I love that it contributes to scientific research. Also the species identification is usually pretty accurate which is great!

Fun to observe
I don’t know a whole lot about in particular the bugs or plants in my area so this has been really cool to observe the fun things I see and have other people confirm or correct my observations!! And to take pictures of cool little guys :)
Should be on every phone in the world!
Be warned, very addictive.
Redesign is overdue
It’s a good community but the app itself is very dated in 2024. Basic features of the desktop website are not available in the mobile app.
Apple phone doesn’t compare the results
I find this app the best app right now for ID. On my old Samsung phone I could compare the results to my photos. Now on my iPhone I can’t do that anymore. Any chance to add this feature?
