Indrive Drivers are at risk With transport Authorities and police
This is to address a review someone made..about mischievous for saying Indrivers are sought by transport authorities and police DAILY!!! This is not true, any body with a Indrive logo on their vehicle is already signed up with the road act and has a PPV license and also a RED PLATE vehicle, the transport ministry of Jamaica has passed a law that says Indrive is illegal to carry out with a private/general license and a normal white plate vehicle, I do Indrive and I was a recent victim of the transport authorities and police harassment, from time to time they do operations where they set somebody up to book a driver and then they lay wait you mid journey or at the destination to interrogate you and if you don’t meet the PPV and Red plate requirements trust me your vehicle will be impounded and you will be served summons to go to court. I’m awaiting my court date the 23rd of this month, the traffic officer will even ask you back for the money that the passenger paid you with and bare in mind you have given change so it’s not what this person is saying I can bet they don’t drive but make these reviews of misconceptions.. I think the indrive administration should tackle this issue in Jamaica it needs urgent attention for the sake of ride sharing basis. It is also the case for Uber drivers as well. They are considering us as public passenger vehicles when in all truth we are private operators.!!! No other country in the world that has these services requires you to sign up for a taxi license or a taxi license plate!! And I honestly think you need to reconsider what you call a fair price, do like Uber then charge for waiting times, charge for time stuck in traffic!! Many people in recent times have developed tactics to avoid paying the right fees, they set destination close to where they want to go then when the ride ends they ask the driver to go further than the app says these are things coming from an experienced Indrive Driver.. What is fair is fair
