5G Device Install & Manage

Published by: Inseego Wireless

Description

The Inseego Mobile App provides a simple, intuitive interface for installing and managing one or more Inseego 5G devices.
Installation
The Mobile App helps users to install their Inseego 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) device in the optimal location to maximize broadband speed in their home, business or enterprise.
Installation features are not available on Inseego mobile devices as by nature they can be moved around and don’t require installion in a fixed location.

Simply scan the QR code on your device to pair with your phone and get started.

After pairing your smart phone or tablet with your Inseego FWA device, the mobile app automatically collects signal strength data from the device’s 5G cellular connection. As you move the device to different locations and adjust the angle or orientation, the app provides easy-to-understand performance ratings. The app has customized installation flows for end-consumers doing self installation, or for professional installers.

Device Management
The Mobile App provides cloud-based device management features for all Inseego 5G devices, including FWA devices and mobile devices like the M2000 MiFi hotspot or the Skyus160 IoT gateway. The device management features of the app allow you to configure and manage all your Inseego devices on your smart phone, from anywhere in the world.
• View real-time signal strength and network statistics
• See daily and monthly data usage
• Control local WiFi settings
• Remotely reboot or factory reset a device

If you don’t have a QR code or just want to Manage a Device, you can enter the IMEI number in the App to register with the cloud and get started.

Barely works

Worked to setup device but now it doesn't register my hotspot unit. I can't make any changes etc. Netflix Hulu and a handful of others won't work without changing settings .. which I can't do. Trying to fix this but it's a pain. Bought from T-Mobile

Easy to setup and WiFi is already working, but after I used 60GB data, it slows down for the rest of the month

Useless

The app won’t connect to the hotspot at all. When following the steps in the app to connect to the M3000 I get to the part where I connect to the hotspot I get connected on the phone but the app says it doesn’t look like I’m connected to the hotspot and won’t proceed to the next step. I’ve uninstalled/reinstalled the app and factory reset the hotspot multiple times and have the same issue. Don’t waste your time with the app.

App is Useless & Device is TBD

Well I have the device working but the signal is horrible. Hope it is just because of my current location. Verizon device with 2 bars LTE with a Verizon cell phone next to it on 5G with 4 bars. And it’s the 5G Mifi. And don’t be in a rush to use it cause the internet is slow and it takes the device longer than my PC to boot up. Even called Verizon and they said “oh that’s normal for it to take up to 4-5 minutes to be ready”. As for the app I see NO point… can only do about 5% of what you can do right on the device webpage.

Clunky

Rarely write app reviews, but this is one of the most kludgy I’ve seen

So really ... the device doesn't have an app.

So a year later i wanted to remote reset the M2000 which had crashed and was not responding to the web interface, this "app" had dumped the device and wanted a "SKU" and iIMEI to pair up again. So what is the SKU anyway? Nobody knows.

Still waiting...

App is useless. I've had two fx3100 in the past two days. The first one was defective and this one will not connect to the cloud and is constantly dropping connection..., even though my phone works fine. Going back to Spectrum unfortunately.

Useless

I have tried to install, uninstall and even set my m3000 to defaults multiple times without success. Every attempt ends at the connect to WiFi screen with a “you’re not connected to WiFi message” Obviously an issue with the iOS version. Without a bug fix the app is useless. Deleted from my phone.

Worst thing ever
