Unable to authenticate my identity through my banking app, no proper support option.
I've been using this app for the last 3 years, and as of early nov after i changed my phone, the app doesn't work anymore and keeps saying my FinanciaI institution has not authenticated me. I called my FIs and they say everything from outside is fine, it's an interac issue. I called their customer service 2 weeks and there hasn't been any updates or fixes whatsoever.
App said to give Financial Institution a ring as my access was blocked. My bank and Interac have no clue how to resolve and neither said they were blocking. Complete waste of time. Don’t bother.
How is this a semi-official service? It plain and simple is both required to get things done yet does not and will not work. Everybody involved in developing and implementing this service should be fired. Every single one of them.
Tried countless times, within multiple months. The app just can’t login to the CIBC app giving you an error 0001. The CIBC support could resolve the issue or provide the reason for it, initially stating that they don’t allow “third party apps” to login to CIBC. Dear App Developers, please test your app together with CIBC, there is an issue between the Interac app and the CIBC app. I’d be happy to change my rating when this is resolved.
Super easy way to check your credit score with no harm on your credit score. It took me 5min (my bank is TD)
Update: Interac replied with a nothing answer. Basically, it is what it is. SUPER FAIL! If your bank isn’t one of only six to choose from then forget it. QR code method doesn’t work. Hey. There are more than SIX major financial institutions in Canada! I’m going to mush my dogsled to my log cabin now — it’s September and Interac has its head in a glacier. Canadian government should dump you, Interac.
This app is a complete and total waste of time that I'll never get back. Launched the App, chose my financial institution, and logged-in, and then was presented with the following error message: Give us a ring to get in. Sorry, we can't complete your request at the moment. For your own security, we've blocked your access. The rest of the error screen gave me a toll-free number to call. Two attempts, and a couple of hours later, and I'm still stuck at the screen with the error message. Two separate teams at the bank were unable to see a problem, much less fix it. As soon as this review is finished, I will delete the app for a third time (the first two times I deleted it and re-installed.)
