February 23, 2023: Review of ITMS app for iPhone, version 11.2 released on or about November 22, 2022. Notifications of a new post by ITMS are quick. However, when you click the notification to view the new post, the new post is not visible. Apparently, the ITMS server that delivers new posts is not capable of serving all the requests from users who want to view the new post. Several minutes after the notification, the new post becomes visible. When you open the app after a new video notification arrives, the app immediately plays the audio of the video that the ITMS server sends to the app. This happens without any action by the user, and the app provides no controls to stop the audio playback. The user is startled by the sudden unexpected loud sound of “Heyyyyyy folks, welcome to In The Money Stocks”. The user then must scramble to close the app or mute phone audio, especially if this happens when the user is in public. The app should never play video or audio unless the user explicitly clicks a control designed for (and labeled for) video or audio playback, such as a VCR style play button. The Main Feed page should have selector buttons, same as the Positions page selector buttons, to filter notifications from the Verified, Bullseye, and Options services. Many buttons and legends are too small and difficult to click. Demoted from 3 stars to 1 star, for invisible new posts, and the unwanted video playback problem. ITMS must fix the above app issues, to achieve a higher star rating.
Updated Review - 2023
App is functioning as expected. Alerts are immediate, no log out issues.
Does what it’s supposed to do.
While I did enjoy the previous method of direct messaging, mainly for the ringer, the app works fine and customer service has been helpful as well.
Disastrous app for a critical service
App keeps telling me I’m not subscribed and won’t transmit alerts - despite being subscribed, and receiving the same alerts by email and on the website.
Please hire some professional app developers to manage your backend systems!
Great Application + Great Service
The service has been fantastic, and with this great service comes a great app. The app is clean, extremely easy to use, and helps make the experience more efficient all around. I highly recommend signing up for the service and using this great overall service!!
Clean app
The new version of this app is super clean and easy to use.
Sad
Sad such a great service but won’t fire these developers and hire a real agency to build their app. Very frustrating.
Great update!
The new updated version of the app looks great, is easy to use, notifications are lightening fast. Thanks ITMS!
App is slowing as days go by
When the app was first released, it was slicker than it feels today. Whenever there is a notification alert, and I click on it, the app launches and takes anywhere like a minute or two to reach the content of the notification. It is impossibly unnerving to keep holding the phone watching the screen when nothing seems to be happening. BUT, it is much much faster than the text and email notifications by orders of magnitude. So credit where credit due Update: 30 august 22 Keeps logging out. Doesn’t show new notification on badge. Not fully formed after several months. Reduced one star rating. Update: 01 September 22 No more app alert notification; I had a suspicion yesterday, but today it was confirmed. Only email notifications are functioning properly. Downgraded to 1 star. Update: 17 September 2022 I have defaulted to checking email notifications. This app is a crapshoot in terms of alerts, also it is very laggy when it does show alert (click on it and wait for what feels like eternity to get to the content). The owner refuses to believe that there is any problem with the app.
Generally works
Definitely agree with others about the logging us out…or at least add a push notification to inform the user so he/she can immediately log back in to avoid missing anything. Also please add date/time stamp to main feed like the Crypto app.
