Description

This app allows healthcare professionals to estimate the likelihood of vaginal delivery at term for women in their first labour, taken from an algorithm published recently (Eggebø TM, Wilhelm-Benartzi C, Hassan WA, Usman S, Salvesen KA, Lees CC. A model to predict vaginal delivery in nulliparous women based on maternal characteristics and intrapartum ultrasound. Am J Obstet Gynecol. 2015 Sep;213(3):362.e1-6).
The risk calculation is based on a ‘one off’ ultrasound and clinical assessment in the first stage of labour. The app is designed to demonstrate ‘proof of principle’ and is not intended for clinical management as it has not been validated in different populations.
