InVision FAQ
Is InVision free?
Yes, InVision is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is InVision legit?
⚠️ The InVision app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
I have 1 project I wanted to check out using the app. The list of screens does not smooth scroll, the app crashed within a minute of use, and it’s just generally janky.
Uninstalled as quickly as it was installed. Stick with using Invision in the browser.
Disappointing
The iPad app for this is terrible. I thought freehands would be a lot better on my iPad than on a desktop browser because I can use a pen and draw easier, but sadly mistaken. Images don’t load at certain zoom levels, changing the pen colour and thickness doesn’t work (unless I use the select tool, change the colour of something else, THEN continue drawing). Whenever I open the app and try to open a document, it asks me to sign in, even though if I back out of it and go to my account I’m already signed in. This app needs a major overhaul.
Unable ton login
Asks for stronger password after it accepts a weaker password at sign up then falls into an infinite loop of asking you to relog and change your password.
Almost no improvement or development for years
Lots of issues here.
Not reliable for remote testing.
For example. You can’t ask someone to download the app, and have it run a public link with password. It just error prompts.
User testing shouldn’t require people create an invision account. Ugh!
Why cant i zoom in
This app sucks. Takes ages to load a prototype then i cannot zoom in to see it??
Broken
I sign in with corrects creds, it thinks for a while and I get the sign in screen again. Reinstalling app doesn’t help. This app was always poor but now it is unusable.
Does the job, just barely.
Lots of crashing, always signs you out, and I wouldn’t call it intuitive by any means. I’m baffled as to why this app is so poorly developed. When it works, it’s fine (at best) but boy do I wish they’d put some efforts into the UX behind this thing.
Crashes often
I find it difficult to work with InVision, it crashes very often, freezes while trying to see a prototype and not all prototypes are loaded. I refresh and it crashes again.
Neat when it does work.
Commenting functionality poor
Bugs when layouts are zoomed in (background gets black) and you other comments disappear.
Getting worst on each release
No landscape mode on iPad, so you have to look on the side to enter your email with a physical attach keyboard.
The 2 step login page doesn’t support the Apple keychain so you have to get your password somewhere else.
You never know how your prototype will be display as each update change the orientation of a web design...
