IR Books Reviews

Worked at first..

Worked ok at first, very blurry for mine and my kids’ eyes even with the special goggles. Now every time I open the app it shows all of this back end coding responses. Repeated messages that say “getting repeated”, “camera permit granted”, “found cache” and dozens of others. Just doesn’t work. Won’t be doing this again as it acts like it’s hacked.

The books won’t download on my phone.

Broken stereo vision

James Pound IV on

The app’s concept is awesome, but the stereo vision is completely off on my wife’s iPhone 13 when using a VR cardboard headset. You should not need to cross your eyes or do anything other than look through the headset, but as is, you need to close one eye to see anything coherent. My kids got this from the local library. I’m disappointed the learning value and concept is being let down by such a critical software bug. Another bug I noticed, the QR code scanner doesn’t even work… we’ve got to do better by our kids. Stereo vision works fine on my iPhone XS Max. It looks like the app needs to be updated to properly support all iPhones.

Not working

Every time I try to scan my book it says downloading and it did that for 6 hours straight I was connected to the internet and I allowed my camera and it just never works. Please fix this problem fast.

Amazing!

My daughter loves this app. She was amazed at how real everything looks in VR. You read the book and scan the QR code on the page and step into another place and time. It was really easy to use. I highly recommend IR books to enhance your children’s learning experience but I have to admit I enjoyed it just as much as she did.

Thank you!

This is a game changer for my family. My kids (7 and 9) cannot get enough of these “epic” books. So thrilled to have discovered them at my library, and looking forward to more!

Excellent educational experience! Gets kids interested in science and technology. Ask for the books and goggles at your public library.
