I loved this app! It worked great up until about a month ago. It’s broken and is not working anymore. Please fix!!
Something has happened to this app recently. It used to work extremely well just to give you a general idea of where the satellites were but now after dumping the app and reinstalling it several times it just does not find my location. So all I get is a blank map on the screen. And yes, I have turn on all location permission settings on my phone for this app to work and nothing.
Iridium is usually less predictable than geostationary networks so as the app states, it only suggests which satellite you’re currently communicating with. But it is very useful to eyeball when conditions are good and when marginal, especially when you are near higher objects such as a building or a hill. The app agrees very closely with other independent predictive apps and web sites in terms of satellite position, and very well with my local signal strength and SV ID readings, so it is believable. Suggestions: - Sat altitude is 781 km, not miles. - Show degrees elevation next to the sight line. - Show other nearby satellites, but without circle and sight line. Hoppie Aircraft SATCOM engineer
