Their hardware is great but this app really needs an update. It doesn’t allow you to select which back camera you’re using when recording. It would be great if it would allow you to select between normal, telescopic, and wide angle lenses.

What do you expect when you buy two channel sound card for iOS? I expect that the software which devices come with will have a way to record a video where I can edit channel separately, I can do panning between channels, use layers of effect and etc. basically garage band with video recording capability. I haven’t found how to edit channels separately for stereo audio. And the whole 190€ device with 20€ app and 5-10€ for each plugin it in it basically useless if there’s no way to mix channels for my video. Also their reverb effect even in 1% output produces such amount of reverb that it spoils the whole vocal track, it’s just a large hall reverb preset which is absolutely useless for anything. I’m highly disappointed, All I’ve wanted it to record my guitar with vocals and post it straight to YouTube or TikTok.. try to mix two channels with direct monitoring.. and then you only allowed to add effects on both channels, what a foolish thing is that? It’s useless for this task. Just make a basic daw with a video recording, that’s all we need

The app and iRig Pro are great and been getting some good results. The old problem was when I uninstalled the app a re downloaded and was charged again. It appears to be missing the flag to know I’d already purchased it previously. Any possibility of a refund please?

Paid for the pro version. Was all going well, until I wanted to check the manual and started to be asked to REGISTER an account, LOG IN, this, that, by the time I got there I decided to get rid of this bugger as I have much better things to do with my life that being forced to waste my time registering frigging accounts in order to read the manual for something I paid for in full. 1 star!!!

Let me start on a positive note. The sound quality is good when used in conjunction with the Irig mic field, but man do they make make it difficult to use! You will also find yourself buying lots of little extras along the way which all adds up. I originally had the free version of this app, and contained with in it was the optimise volume feature. This is a really good feature. However, when I was trying to name one of my recordings the app crashed. I had to delete it and then reinstall it from the App Store. After doing this optimise volume feature was no longer visible. I then got the paid for version of the recorder thinking that the optimise volume might be included in that. It wasn't. I then discovered that I needed to register with IK multimedia in order to unlock this feature. By this time I had already bought the Irig mic field to work in conjunction with this app. This cost £61.79. After registering with IK multimedia for the full use of the app, I then tried to register the mic. This took about half an hour. Unbelievable. Every time I put the serial number in it told me that it's an invalid serial number. IK Multimedia use a strange zero figure with a line across it. I wasn't sure if this was meant to represent the letter 0, or a zero. This just added to my frustration. In the end I had to go to the website on a laptop to be able to successfully register the mic field. Success at last! However, there's more.... Once you have your recordings inside the recorder app it's very difficult to move them anywhere else. Also, you can't use Bluetooth with this app. I like to be able to listen to my recordings on a Bluetooth headset. This isn't possible. In order for me to do this I have to email my recordings to myself and then open them in another app completely independent of IK multimedia, in order to be able to listen to my recordings on my headphones. Another little niggle is that every time I connect the Irig mic to my iPhone, I have to remove my phone from its case in order to be able to make a proper connection via the infinity port. Like I say, hard work. I started this adventure trying to find a better quality alternative to the voice memos app on the phone. I thought for one blissful moment that I might just be able to use the Irig mic along with the voice memos app. This isn't possible either! The quality is definitely better when it's all working, but this is outweighed somewhat by all the hassle.

The metering of the input signal is very poor and the effects are more gimmicky than useful. Needs to be updated.

I found this a really good piece of software as is true of the hardware. But considering how sophisticated these guys must be - why are they using FTP instead of something say like dropbox? I just wonder how many people have a server with FTP access compared to say a dropbox account. If you read reviews guys great job but please bring the software into the 21st-century.

I spent money on the package to purchase all in app purchase and spent money on the paid version of the app and after recording it doesn't allow me to edit the audio file by going into the 'waveform editor'. How can this be fixed? Need help. Urgent

If you install this paid for app you will have to reboot your phone each and every time you use it. The app will not close and therefore drains battery life considerably. This problem is well known and I now know it has been mentioned in many blogs for over 2 years. This lack of customer focus says more about IK Multimedia than I ever could. If you want to be disappointed then buy it now.
