Description

Island Grub was the very first online food ordering and delivery service in Grand Cayman established in May 2015. Island Grub now offers the most delivery options to customers in Grand Cayman! At Island Grub we offer a simple and easy way to view listings and menus online, as well as have the option to order food, beverages, groceries and from convenience stores online for delivery! We charge a flat delivery fee depending on your delivery district/area from the restaurant/business, and we do not charge any additional distance fees.
Island Grub was developed with a very unique delivery model, one of the very first of its kind - if any others do even exist at all. We are the only delivery service that does NOT charge commissions to restaurants or businesses. We truly believe in reinventing the concept of delivery service to take away the growing leech on restauranteurs - charging 20-30% commissions which takes up a lot of their profits, especially for small businesses. It’s unsustainable in the long term. Island Grub operates very similar to a regular takeout customer. No regular customer pays the restaurant a commission to collect food on behalf of their friend or co-worker, for example - so Island Grub operates the exact same way. Yes, it does affect our bottom line, but with your support we can prevail!
Island Grub is a locally owned company, and our objective is to help to promote and to drive sales for local food and beverage businesses, as well as to offer a unique online experience being able to view menus online in order to decide where you would like to head out to dine-in or collect your takeout order from, as well as having an optional delivery service if you don’t feel like driving out.
Users can create a user account, add delivery addresses, save card payment information (stored locally on your phone), view order history, checkout via cash or credit card (dependent on restaurant acceptance) - cryptocurrency payments will be coming soon!
Users can also track orders placed. This feature is currently only accessible via the tracking link sent to you by email and text message (provide local Cayman Islands number only - without area code). Tracking is currently not available directly in the mobile app, but this feature is coming soon.
If you own or operate a business needing assistance with food, beverage or grocery delivery, contact us. We especially strive to support small businesses. Island Grub saves time for you and your business. Instead of throwing away productive hours, let us deal with the hassle of ordering and delivering your food. Visit our website “For Businesses” tab for more information.
