Isleward FAQ
Is Isleward free?
Yes, Isleward is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Isleward legit?
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.
The community is phenomenal! Everyone is beyond helpful. The accessibility is awesome, too. You can play on the app OR the website, allowing people without mobile devices to play on a computer’s web browser. ♾/10, would recommend to anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, and overall enjoyable experience. Congratulations to big bad waffle for creating such a bizarrely fun game.
Pretty good but not optimized
The game itself is really good and has potential. The only problem is that it’s not optimized for mobile. Small things here and there that makes the game less enjoyable because it affects gameplay but most of them can be worked around, while some can’t. For example, the warehouse doesn’t work for mobile, you can’t chat on mobile, and idk if it’s just the newer iPhones but, I also can’t shake my device to stop movement… other than that, the game is fun and I could play for hours. I suggest that they add new content and work on the sprites a bit tho.
Tutorial Broke
The game crashed on the first run through the tutorial. I had to redo it and now the hermit won’t give me the fishing rod to finish the tutorial.
Unpolished Port
This was amazing on my PC but a huge disappointment on iOS. For starters, you are told to move using WASD or arrow keys… On a tablet. If you make it to the melee tutorial, it says to press the space bar to autolock a target. Did the devs drag and drop the iOS port without QA/QC? Are we to use Bluetooth keyboards to play? What the EFF?!
Loved It On Computer
But when I wanted to play on my phone I was disappointed to find out it was pc only, remembered it existed and checked again and I’m excited to get playing again.
Fantastic and unique!
I have played Isleward on and off for a good while now, checking up on it periodically, and I have to say, I have never come across something so unique! The art style, gameplay mechanics, and pretty much every else are so pleasing, and make it hard to log off once you get on! The developers are some of the friendliest people I've met, and they really listen to their players. If you are even slightly interested in seeing what the game is like, give it a go!!!
