This is a wonderful app. We have been using this in our clinics for patient education. We understand that patients need to be educated in many different ways from diagrams to models for them to truly understand their condition. iSpinecare with its animation just takes it to a new level. Our physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and doctors love using it which in turn leads to greater patient satisfaction. Thanks guys for developing such an easy to use education tool.
Really good for informed consent and patient education (like its sister app ispineoperations). The major disappointment in an otherwise excellent app is the complete exclusion / oversight of acquired spinal (central and lateral recess) stenosis. These are the commonest pathologies indicating laminectomy, yet rarer pathologies such as congenital stenosis are mentioned instead.
As a spine professional, this is a great teaching application to show patients what is wrong with them. No amount of talking or diagram drawing can convey the message as well as using a multimedia tool such as this. I can understand the limitations of this for someone expecting an app about caring for your spine, as the name may suggest. For teaching in the professional setting, however, it is a great tool. Similarly, the sister app, iSpineOps, is a valuable clinical tool, if one judges its benefit by the positive patient feedback I receive.
I am a rheumatologist & I now use this app to demonstrate to patients the relevant anatomy & pathology. Patients find these animations wonderful. They get it once they see it. Makes my job so much easier.
