The fullest and most interesting app of its kind that I have ever found.
The Italian menu decoder is one of those apps you wonder how you ever lived without! Whether in your local Italian restaurant, or touring the more remote regions of Italy, this easy to use and beautifully written app is the perfect accompaniment!
This is an excellent guide for someone wishing to become buongustaio. Easy to navigate and extremely informative .
This App is mouthwatering. Just reading all about Italy, learning Simple phrases and Food words is enough to make you yearn fro a trip to Italy to sample their wonderful food. The App is easy to navigate, sprinkled with enticing photographs and has a user friendly feel about it. I give it 5 stars. Kiki In Singapore.
I can't recommend this app more highly. It's been a fantastic tool for us both before and during our family trip to Sardinia. Its extremely clear and very easy to navigate your way around. It's excellent at providing knowledge and help for all those menu-dilemma moments! Something to 'pack' before leaving to go on any Italian break!
This is a great app for aspirant foodies and those who live in Italy, and just downright interesting or the rest of us. I'd like to see something similar for many other countries e.g. France, Greece, Japan etc... I notice that most comments seem to come from people in Italy, who are presumably already familiar with Italian food, and will certainly contribute to more detailed and accurate details. But I wonder if something for the less sophisticated might be useful e.g. why menus are separated into primi and secundi piatti - maybe they no longer are, but if so some overview of Italian eating style would be useful e.g. traditionally huge steaks served without any potatoes or other veg because it's assumed you'll have had pasta as a first course. The navigation is easy, though I'm confused by 'distance' - why do I want to search by that? I also took a minute or two to get used to the 'name' search to find key items, such as 'cheese words' - useful high level detail, I thought, but what about the names of cheeses? But then I found the 'category' search, and there they all are. Of course the initial 'cheese words' search does give you a clue ('reading the labels') but it made far more sense after I found the category search. Like all apps, you need to play around a bit to figure it out. Altogether a super useful app, which I wish I'd had last year in Laos for Laotian food!
