We designed iTrace over 5 years ago to teach children to write block and cursive letters and numbers. Our mission back then — and today — remains to make early childhood education productive and relaxed, natural at the same time.

While creating the app, we found out that children learn best when they repeat every exercise at least 3 times. In iTrace, a child traces each letter 3 times on every level out of 30 for each letter. Of course, every child learns at a different pace, so an app adjusts the number of levels to meet the needs of their individual student.

The app is ideal for homeschooling as well as classroom setting at Preschool, Pre-K, Kindergarten, and K1-K2 levels.

This app is so cool!

I am a fan of handwriting. It has you write letters and words and even your name! It even has a cursive style, but one thing I DON’T like is that the cursive letters do not connect. The worksheets also have mazes which are really fun.

Great app and wonderful customer service

This is a great app and my kids love it. I was also really impressed with the customer service as I had a question about billing and I was helping immediately.

Wow

I already loved this app as writing practice for my older kids. Today, my 2.5 year old wrote her name. 😱 I know it's cause she practices it on this app. She knows most of her letters, too. Pretty cool. I love how the app is fun but not super gamey, and how it forces you to write the letters correctly (but gives some margin for error). Such a great app.

Helps me manage small groups

My students love this program. I am a resource teacher. Many of my students have difficulty with cursive writing. So I use this app to help manage my students in groups. While I work with one student, the others use the app to practice their handwriting. Also, the app developers are very responsive. I had a question and they replied within three hours!

It is okay!

I like it shows my little one to write each letter for 3 times; it gives a sticker every time the child get it correctly! My kid loves it…. The cons is that I paid to download it on my iphone. If I would like it on my iPad, I have to pay it again to get it on my iPad. Each Device is being charged for the app; so if you want to have it for 3 devices, then you pay the same app 3 times !!!! So be cautious before download, choose your device wisely!!!!

Sound stopped working

We love this app. Went to use it today and the sound isn’t working. I checked the settings and the iPad is turned all the way up. The app is putting out no sounds. All my son’s other apps are putting out sound just fine. Please fix!

It’s called iTrace free but only letters a-d are free. You have to pay to unlock the rest... same for numbers and so on

Disappointed OT

The sound doesn't work. It appears that I got scammed paying for this app that doesn't work properly.
