iVCam Webcam

too bad it doesn’t if i want to connect my phone to my ipad. i write on my ipad and needle my phone to connect to it to be a webcam for my ipad but unfortunately i think u can only connect to windows and mac os.

It’s now plagued with ads, and subscriptions. Used to be free with a watermark which was fine.

Displays upside down at some resolutions but not others. Looks the demo to 640x480 before I can figure out if (not how, if) this can be rectified. This was after less than an hour of attempted setup. Otherwise seems good, but now I’ll never know, because instead of giving the developer money for their hard work, I’m given them a bad review for woeful marketing practices.

iVCam does exactly what you expect it to. Download the app for both PC and iOS, link both devices together and it just works. USB connection can be iffy but wifi works great in my experience. Decent latency, decent quality, and the auto improvements to picture quality (exposure hue etc) are really convenient. The app provides you with the full suite of features for free for about two weeks from when you download it before they ask you to pay, which is a really consumer friendly monetisation strategy. Even if you choose not to pay for it, the worst you have to put up with is a 30 second ad every time you try and connect. It can be annoying, but I understand that it's to incentivise buying the full app. Keep up the good work 💜💜

Had this app on my phone for ages. Too many ads now and once the trial period (which was never a thing before) expired it now requires a subscription….
