Does what it says on the tin
For me this app worked perfectly it’s a great entry level VR setup works perfectly I’m going to buy the full version to get rid of the colour desaturation the only limitation I could think of is if your using a phone that has a poor screen or cracked screen I’ve been using it for warthunder and makes a massive difference in the simulator battles good work guys
Fantastic!!
Best VR app available bar none. Perfect for playing Elite Dangerous.
Great, but expensive
This app has very smooth video on the phone and track your head very very well. Works with most of the games that I have but it’s £7 which I think is a little too much but apart from that, amazing app! Worth getting
Edited:
After using this app for around 3 months I have come to a conclusion about this app
This app is in my opinion the best mobile VR app right now, Steam VR Works almost flawlessly and can be a fantastic experience only if you have the right equipment. I have used the app with the IPHONE X and I think that was the best experience out of the other iPhones I have used.
Using a iPhone Plus makes the experience a whole lot better and fun.
Definitely worth it.
wow! With right setup gets close to the dedicated headsets.
Managed to get this app to work while I was waiting for my dell visor to arrive. It was an absolute pain to get it working, not because of the app which works flawlessly but because of the fragmented nature of vr on pc (rift exclusives like dirt rally dont talk to this app unless you patch with ‘revive’ and run the occulus app at the same time yada yada... took a whole night of delving into youtube to find out how to inject or patch revive and the general sequence of things, but BOOM when its done it was amazing!
The size of my iphone 7 plus provided great fov coverage for my eyes in the headset, plugged in via an extra long lightning cable the framerate was smooth and the comparitively low res of the iphone screen (full hd) meant that games run at high settings at about 50fps with my gtx 1060 dell 7577 laptop.
When my dell visor arrived yes it is better overall than this, but not by much! As it has a much higher resolution which is good, with an LCD panel with less persistence than the iphone screen, ironically I have to really tone down the quality of the games so on the visor they are smoother, clearer but are then less graphically pleasing (dirt rally low/ultra low vs high settings with ivry).
I think as the visor came free with the laptop I’ll keep it but it may be a different story if I could run this with a oled plus sized iphone with usb 3 if one should ever come out... I was surprised it even seems asif the screen door efect was more noticable on the visor rather than the iphone ivry app despite lower resolution.
Occulus / vive / windows mixed reality etc should learn from how simple vr can be with the likes of a game and this app rather than proprietary stores, rooms, cliff houses complicated and taking gigabytes of space. Try recentering your screen on the dell visor, have to go though a whole world of setup, on this app simples double tap the screen!
Amazing app
I can join my friends who own VR on PC and it’s as close to perfect as I’ll get on a budget! The resolution can be a little pixelated at times but I’m sure that’s just cause I’m on a 5s. All in all worth paying for
Quite pleased
I was really impressed by the fact that i can now play vr games using my phone in a vr headset the only problem being the fact that i go colour blind after 5 minutes but you have to make money from this stuff some how am i right? There is however one problem that may be because of my phone or my wire but when ever i try to use USB connection my wire won't work for a few hours. I have an IPhone 5 (i think...)
The best!!!!
It is the best of all.
I have been looking for ages and have now found a good (actually perfect) iPhone-PC VR app.
All the others are not what they say they, but this is. So don’t get trinusvr, don’t get any other. One get this one. Even if you don’t want to pay it has a free version, it only turns your picture black and white.
So it is definitely worth it, and doesn’t con you unlike other apps.
Great
I love this app I use this for all pc vr gaming! But still very laggy even over top of the range WiFi.
it’s working!!
I don’t know what the Windows did but after the update it’s working!!
And I love it ^w^)!!
Amazing!
I’ve tried KinoVR, TrinusVR, Moonlighting with Tridef and Nvidia 3D, and games that support side by side view natively. All have failed. Those that did finally give a 3D experience were unusable due to the distorted aspect ratio (Elite Dangerous and DCS World for example).
So I was reluctant to download this. But I went ahead without expectations. And omg what a pleasant surprise!! This really does do the job!! And installation is SO easy and ‘it just works’!
I’m extremely impressed and I finally now have a descent VR experience on my iPhone 6 Plus with the full 3D depth and limited head tracking! Now I no longer have to wait for the iOS version of VRidge!!! Plus usb tethering!!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! I love this app and you have totally made my day!!!!! :D
