One app I use nearly daily is Jamzone. It is the app I have always dreamed of, and once it was released, I was so glad and have been since. Today the song catalogue is vast and of excellent quality. Play with the actual band at home, use it in small kicks, and make videos to share with it. My humble thanks to the Jamzone team. Thank you for doing this app, and keep adding songs and features. Thanks also for the premium support service when needed. I could not be happier. I do not know what there should be more. Great job indeed!
My most valuable app!
I’m a gigging musician and purchased over 1000 songs before their subscription plan evolved and it’s my most valuable app.
Here are some ideas for their developers: please have a “random” and “year” sorting features. It would also be great if a user can add multiple “track profiles” so that I can play along with just drum and bass (a jazz accompaniment for example) and a separate track profile for other combinations. Right now, it only remembers settings for one song.
It’s a fantastic app and I highly recommend any musician to try it out.
The Best Backing Tracks Ever

Best App Ever
Best App Ever. Before you change the price, call me to invest. But DON'T CHANGE THE PRICE PLEASE! Musicians need this so badly. Keep it cheap and I will be a loyal customer. With all sincerity and love, Andrew
Jamzone is Amazing
I’ve tried to find a platform for usable backing tracks for guitar and saxophone with no luck. I tried.mpeg, midi, .aud etc but none had descent quality or flexibility. Now with Jamzone I can play all types of genres, in all keys and mute individual instruments and voice with a push of a button. The quality is phenomenal and even though I don’t play as much anymore, I won’t give up my subscription at all. I wish I had a nickel for every hour I tried to find anything as good as Jamzone. I still wish the track volumes came preloaded at mid-volume so I could increase where I need to but not a big deal. I highly recommend this for musician at any level and especially recommend it for people that are “stuck” at their current level and what to get better.
Overall a fairly decent app, just a few quirks.
Jamzone is a cool app in concept, it allows you to only hear certain parts of a song along with that only certain instruments/vocals. Which don’t get me wrong is a useful and powerful tool. There’s a couple problems though. 1. Volumes are all over the place, without adjusting any settings, volume wise, you can open one song and have it be so quiet you can barely hear it even on a large speaker like I use. On the other hand, you could open a second song and have it be so loud you can’t hear anymore. Which is fine. It’s just sporadic and . I find myself adjusting the master volume slider constantly. 2. Not all of the songs seem to be in the original key or played the original way. I’ve mostly used different 80s rock songs and they’re all the songs they say they are, they also have a very large library. The issue is the songs aren’t always correct. other than that, the app is great it allows you to do a lot. They have an extensive library containing just about any song you could possibly think of, very good user interface, and for a relatively inexpensive price.
Great app. Well worth the subscription!
I just this past week, purchased the pro version of this app for solo gigs. Total game changer! I am not technically savvy, yet this app is incredibly simple to navigate & use. I purchased it 2 days before a private gig, never having used it or any other app like it before. Worked 100% perfectly! & I was able to add about 12 songs to my set, of the cuff, due to the fact that I did not have to take time to learn/memorize the new songs. & As much as most of us hate requests, it makes that a great possibility. When you can fulfill a request on the spot, that turns into more tips/money. Can't go wrong with that!
- The sound quality is great, & I absolutely love the option to pan every instrument (even individual drums!), to achieve an actual stereo mix for live performance!
Incredible app, & I recommend 10/10 for any solo musicians out there!
- Only one downside, & I'm almost positive that it is out of the control of the developers, is the list of certain songs/artists available that do not allow the lyrics/chords. (pearl jam, tom petty, Neil Young, etc.) - the music is still there to play along with, but without the lyrics listed to at least use as a queue, you can easily lose your place.
But again, I doubt the developers have any control over that... 🤷🏻♂️
Overall, if you are a solo artist looking to beef up your solo, cover set sound & or library, this is the app to do so. Couldn't be easier to navigate, & included, are some really amazing functions. I'll never perform cover solo sets without it, from here on out!
Jamzone
I would give it 6 stars if you could share set lists and song mix settings between devices.
