Japanese Conjugation City Reviews

Perfect for drills

_jessie.bear_ on

I’ve been looking for a way to drill verbs and adjectives based on proficiency level and this is perfect. Once I set up my preferred test settings I found I could just work through whilst doing other menial tasks, such as waiting for the bus 😊 There are so many options to select or not select, which is fantastic as I am still a beginner to the language. One thing I would love is a proficiency rating against each verb/adjective so I can then focus on my weak areas. If this exists please let me know. But for the minimal cost and fantastic output I would say this is amazing value and worth adding to your daily language tasks.

Does what it says

Overall does exactly what I was looking for: an app to drill verb conjugation easily in short bursts (waiting in line, appointments and so on). Only missing 1 star at the thing I'd really like is an option to hide romaji. My eyes tend to latch onto them first, which hinders any reading comprehension improvement. A similar toggle for kana would also be useful for similar reasons. Other than that, no complaints!

Fantastic app

Great app that is easy to use and an absolute must when it come to learning conjugation. Great customisation as you can tailor the tests to your needs. My only criticism is that it doesn’t contain any ‘want to do’ verb form conjugations.

Great app for practice!

I was looking for a conjugation app on IOS since quite a while and this came along on Tofugu. The app works perfectly, I like the fact take I can turn the landscape mode, so I can mirror the 8+ display to the 43” TV and have a very nice experience. Thank you very much indeed !

It does what it says it does and does it well

Works well

It’s a little sparse in terms of the presentation, but it works well if you’d like to drill verb conjugations and I found it useful.

Horrible

Does not even have simple conjugation for the word “ borrow “

Great learning tool

This app is a great way to drill verb and adjective conjugation, allowing you to focus on specific areas that are giving your trouble. The immediate and context specific explanation that pops up for any mistake is a great help. With the Japanese keyboard on, you can dictate responses which is a great way to work in pronunciation! Can’t recommend highly enough!!

Excellent app

I started taking Japanese lessons again after a few years and I realized I’d forgotten a lot of conjugations! This app is helping me drill but also review grammar rules and even some kanji for verbs I need in class. I love you can customize tests and switch between hiragana and kanji anytime! I teach Spanish and I wish there was an app like this for my students!
