JBL BAR Setup FAQ
Is JBL BAR Setup free?
Yes, JBL BAR Setup is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is JBL BAR Setup legit?
⚠️ The JBL BAR Setup app has poor ratings and negative feedback. Users seem unsatisfied with its performance or features.
Used the app to connect phone to soundbar. When this is set up, the bar works like an airplay connection and not Bluetooth. Great. Issue is that ever time the bar gets a firmware update, it can’t connect to the app anymore. Need to go through a reset/reconnect cycle between the bar and the app every time this happens. Now that I’m used to it, takes less than five minutes, but shouldn’t be the case to begin with.
One star because ZERO isn’t an option.
This app is unusable. I’m probably going to return the soundbar that can only be configured through a useless app and buying a brand that actually cares about their customers and reputation.
JBL, it is ruining your reputation!
if i was in JBL company i would try to replace this app because it is the worst app ever and it is ruining every reputation that JBL gathered
The worst
The world worst application I have ever seen. I can’t believe that Harmon and JBL did it.
Don’t Waste Your Time With This
Useless App that doesn’t work.
Non functioning
Following procedures several times, but still unable to locate the sound bar. Give up and delete the app immediately!
Doesn’t work
When I try the procedure in soundbar for setup Wi-Fi nothing happened in the soundbar and the app can’t find the soundbar.
Works good but needs wifi off option
I read a number of poor reviews for this app, but really didn’t experience any of issues mentioned. The app worked well at least for me.
One request I would make is that being the victim of a hacker neighbor it would be great to turn off wifi and bluetooth on the soundbar. Since most people are not lucky enough to live in homes far enough away from others to be out if wireless range, or live in apartments, broadcasting wifi or bluetooth without a password is now dangerous, and listening to others brag how they get into neighbors networks and networks of people they rent to through open wireless is scary.
Would be great to offer an option in the app to turn off wireless when not needed, unless it already exists and I am missing how to do it. Thanks!
Bad bad bad
Don’t work for nothing its trash
Useless
Literally… what is this supposed to be doing? it’s useless.
