JetAudio Hi Reviews

Much to be desired

As an offline player, the app offers nothing exciting. As a network and cloud player, it leaves quite a lot to be desired, beginning with the nonexistent music management.

No AirPods profile

I’ve been using jet audio for some years just because it is the only way to experience the great sound of Bongiovi plugin. However, although bongiovi have released an AirPods profile (no need to mention the AirPods popularity), jet audio in numerous updates failed to provide the relevant profile. Think I’ll turn to other solution of sound processing and audio player.

Seems like now more fully integrated with apple native player and I hate that more than I can express and now the most simple thing like turning on visualizations is completely unfindable. I loved this app when I paid for it but no longer

An abundance of audio options/equalizers to suit anyone’s aural preferences but a tendency to freeze and need resets when playing files from cloud sources.

So close to being great, but misses the mark

The problem with the app is that it’s not really designed in a sane manner. Options are scattered through the whole interface, and while you are given a lot of options you are missing some critical ones, like changing how music is labelled in playlists and in folders. In those parts of the interface, the metadata (album, artist, etc.) are listed first in bold and then the song name is listed in much smaller greyed out text underneath. Why wouldn’t I want to see the song names up top bolded, why wouldn’t that be more important to me? There’s also no way to hide options like Podcast, Artist, Network on the main menu, so navigating the interface can get cluttered and overwhelming if you’re someone that doesn’t use those option. I only use my music from what’s stored on my device in the Files app, so I don’t use a lot of the things on that menu, therefore why do I need to see them? Searching will only search within the current folder, not your whole music repository. You can get around this by adding all your songs to one big playlist and searching from there. “Clear Playlist” button is located dangerously close to other options in a menu and offers no confirmation prompt when selected. Hope you like spending hours crafting a playlist just to nuke it in a fraction of a second. It’s overall the best music app I’ve found for my particularly use cases, but it’s still really disappointing because it could be so much better than it is.
