So far so good
I have no complaints. String lights are timed to turn on and off in the evenings. Yes, the app interface is poorly designed but it does the job. It’s not like you’re hanging out in the app for more than a minute or so.
Yes, Joinin Home is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.

Is there not an option to save a light setting? I have the exact color I want, and it took a while to get it perfect. I would love to be able to have a quick access option. The one star comes from the overall failure for an ease-of-access app. It’s poorly made, the app hardly recognizes the simple click to select all or just a few of the lights, it always says that it cannot connect when it is connected. They truly don’t care about maintaining the app; I’m shocked it is still recommended by Amazon. Not to mention half of my lights are changing colors randomly.
Just as a previous reviewer said, I am connected, it finds my network, but I can’t turn the light on or off with the app. It works fine with motion detection, but would be great to use as a regular light also. It is hardwired to the peak of a sunroom and doesn’t have a dedicated switch.
After a couple months the app quit working on a fairly recent iPhone. After reinstalling it locked immediately.
The color-changing Can Smart LED lights are beautiful in my 2nd story hallway, but like everyone has already reported, the Alexa skill just doesn’t work. I constantly get “device offline” or “server unresponsive”. Having to pull up the app to turn lights on/off or change colors defeats the purpose of a Smart Home. I’ll be returning these & going with Geenie.
Terrible app, no documentation, support folks want to give me a refund, all I want to do is have the app control the light. Deleted app several times. Still can’t do.
I have nothing but difficulty running my security light using this app. I see the app found my light without any issue, but when I try turning on the light (or off) with just the app, the light does nothing (I’ve deleted the light twice already and reinstalled it, but each time I come up with the same issue. Trying to find any online documentation to help me is almost impossible.
I am able to setup my lights but there is no documentation and I can’t get the Alexa enablement to work. Yes i linked the skill but it just doesn’t work
The app is not intuitive at all and there is very little documentation.
