Jointly

Care co-ordination app

Published by: Carers UK

Description

Care together from anywhere with Jointly!
Jointly works with circles of care. To initially set up a circle for the person you are looking after you will need to make a one-off payment of £2.99.
Once a Jointly circle has been purchased there is no additional cost for you or the people you invite to join you. You can invite as many people as you want to share the care with you. They can download the app or use the web version at jointlyapp.com
Jointly requires version 9.0 of IOS or later, if you are running an older version of IOS we recommend that you use the web version of Jointly at https://jointlyapp.com.
An application created by carers for carers. It is designed to make caring a little easier, less stressful and a lot more organised. It combines group messaging with other useful features including to-do and medication lists, calendar and more!
Jointly is now available in Welsh language at https://jointlyapp.com

How does Jointly work?
With Jointly you can create a circle of care for the person you are looking after. Once you have set up your Jointly circle you can start using Jointly to organise care. You can use it on your own or you can invite other people to join you and share the care.
Jointly features include:
• Homepage: See latest activity at a glance
• Profile: Store useful information about the person you are looking after and have it available to access any time at a click of a button! Make a note of their date of birth, condition and caring needs, likes and dislikes or anything else you may think is relevant.
• Group messaging: Communicate with everyone in your Jointly circle at a touch of a button! Simply post a message or upload an image. Members of your circle will receive a notification and can respond.
• Tasks: Keep organised and on top of things by using tasks and task lists. Simply create a task and assign it to any member of your Jointly circle, including yourself, and monitor its status.
• Calendar: Create date/time specific events and invite anyone in your circle. You can also use the field provided to invite people outside your Jointly circle.
You can keep tabs of all planned events in Jointly's calendar while at the same time sending and accepting invitations in your personal calendar.
• Notes: You can use Notes to store a wide range of information and add images or document attachments. This can include bills and information about the household or how someone is feeling.
• Medication: Use Jointly's Medications feature to keep track of current and past medication of the person you are caring for. You can also upload an image to quickly recognise a medicine.
• Devices: Receive, store and share messages from connected health and care devices.
• Contacts: Jointly stores the contact details of the members of your circle and also allows you to store more useful contacts so that you can access their details anytime, anywhere!

Jointly Reviews

I love Jointly!

Juliet AndrewO on

United Kingdom

My family and I rely on Jointly for everything to do for my nana’s. As we all live far away from her, it’s incredibly convenient to be kept in the loop from my mum how the care is going, and also know we can depend on her neighbours to help us out often.

Could be really useful! But don’t get it until bugs are fixed

The idea of the app is great. I started to use it and was really pleased- but very quickly discovered major issues that suggest no one actually trialled the app!! I know- a big accusation but I can’t believe that no one would have seen and fixed what o found out in only a few days. What’s more I have actually attempted to let the developers know but so far they’ve failed to get back in touch. ( the main one is that when you assign a category it is saved but doesn’t appear on the list of categories so every time you want to add a new entry it asks you to choose a category but only two appear- if you then decide ‘oh ok, I’ll just make a new one- then it says ‘there’s already a category named ...’ and so on. Erm frustrating . Definitely don’t get the app until this is fixed as it’s a pointless waste of time . I will delete this ( I promise) just as soon as it’s fixed. Even with a few other minor issues ( easily fixable) I would say that the app then - but NOT NOW would get a five star rating!

App stopped working

Wabbit323 on

The app was great, useful to keep track of appointments, make notes, have all the relevant contacts in one place and most important, accessible by everyone you want to share caring responsibilities with. However it has stopped working and I am now greeted by “Oops! We couldn’t retrieve your account data!” every time I open. I can log in perfectly fine using the website.

Disappointing

Carer 4 on

I have been using the app for a year and it is useful for storing and sharing information. However the app suddenly stopped working and now I have to find the site and log in every-time. A great idea, but a bad app.

Amazing idea but doesn’t actually work

App doesn’t work at all on my iPhone 10. Freezes and crashes mostly and won’t let you purchase. Really great and handy idea, this app would’ve been endlessly useful for my fam. If only it actually worked. Please update!

Crashing

Girlieces on

United Kingdom

This app has such potential. We as a family have added a lot of data to it but it constantly is crashing and is not accessible and issues now getting in via chrome. Very frustrating indeed and nothing back from the help desk. We have been relying on the app to manage our mothers care as we live at different ends of the country. Please put these issues right. ☹️

Needs alerts

Gert10 on

United Kingdom

Good idea and a good basic start to enabling family, friends and professionals sharing care package. However it lacks necessary alerts- if the administrator assigns a task it would be handy if the app had an alert linked to it . Can see this being a great tool for main carers with a few extras added.

Best app ever

Long distance carer on

I never normally write reviews, but this is the most useful app ever. I use it with the friend I care for to coordinate hospital appointments, which care worker requested annual leave, changes to medication, cheque needs banking, dog's vet appointment, etc, etc. We can tell each other things instantly & all the info is in 1 place, even though we have different types of tablets, computers & phones. As with any app it can't do absolutely everything - the trick is to make it work the way you want it. Best app ever. Thank you Carers UK.

Excellent App

Yoginileeds on

Really good idea and very useful. My only bug bear is that you must be connected to the internet. The should be an option to save the circles on to the device, very handy for emergencies when you are no where near the internet (like half way over the M62). Should be in next version.
