JotTheDate: your great freehand Calendar !
Why type your calendar events? Just draw with JotTheDate.
Handwrite your note as text or sketch, and JotTheDate will show the event or reminder in the Calendar.
Whether it’s a scribble, a sketch, or a smiley, this calendar app lets you add your events by drawing them with a finger on the screen.
You can add appointment reminders, notes, travel time, and more. So, you can be creative and sketch your way to your next event, choosing your color and brush size. Just draw or write your event with your finger. Sketch a heart for your anniversary dinner, a necktie for your business meeting, or a book for your college class. Can’t draw? Jot down your pet’s name for their vet appointment, the name of the club where you are meeting your friends, or the name of the park for your kid’s play date.
You can also give the event a name if you like for viewing in other calendar apps. Add the basics you need like the location and start and end times. You can have it repeat, invite others, and set up two different alerts.
Your events can also be All Day, contain notes and a URL, and be added to a specific calendar if you have more than one.
The app also works without an Internet connection.

Great app
Love being able to scribble and draw pictures they stick out more. Plus you can add pictures for example a ticket for an event for that day. It also allows syncing with work calendar. Downside is it can take some time to download but it’s not too long.
Awesome app but....
Was so pleased with it I wanted to buy it. Went to the app store.... there it was...
SUBSCRIPPINFIPTION!!!
Why??? I dont wanna rent it i wanna buy it, so many apps die imo because I refuse to subscribe to paying ad infinitum for an app
🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
Needs work
It's a good idea, but doesn't quite work.
If I wanted just a handwritten note (line in the pictures) I have to tap on the icon, create an image save it. You now see the image in your diary. Promising so far. Then if you change page (week) and return- the image is gone and it is replaced with an appointment titled My Jot in text!
If you then click on it and say you want an image - then draw one it now remains. Seems like a bug, but it could be I am being stupid. Nice looking day though.
Not there yet
I thought this would work better than a digital planner in GoodNotes or Notability but this app is clunky in the way it works with Apple Pencil.
I was hoping I’d be able to write by hand in existing calendar entries.
But the saving time is too long and I was not filled with confidence it would make it to my Google Calendar.
OneNote works with a good mix of writing and text - that is what I thought this might do.
The Mac app never got to sync with my iPad and is clunky too.
Not user friendly
Rubbish app paid for it and it still doesn’t work
Great Calendar!
Really good product. Love the combination of having published calendars and written in events. Even better now you can click on a date to add an appointment.
