Kana FAQ

Yes, Kana is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Is Kana legit?
✅ The Kana app appears to be high-quality and legitimate. Users are very satisfied.
I started learning Japanese 4 days writing this review and I can say that this app made it easier for me learning Kana. You can group the kana you want to work with, for example you can start with vowels, add them in a list and practice them, after you dominate the vowels you can create another list and learn the column A, I, U and so on. You can also add all the kana you learned in a list and practice all of them or you can practice all kana at once.
Not only it helped me to learn 35% hiragana in 4 days, it’s very good for typing in Japanese keyboard too, the only issue I have is that when I use the character ん instead of (n/m) in a quiz, it marks the answer as incorrect, but that’s the only one so far.
ありがとうございます ❤️
Amazing
This app is crazy good for the fact that it’s free. You can create lists to study at the pace you want. I learned both hiragana and katakana in a month. Highly recommend
Good as far
Been using it for a few days now. My only criticism is that you can’t sync data across multiple devices. I mainly use it on my iPad but it would be nice to be able to use it on my phone and have the data from the quizzes all be on one profile of sorts
Great app!
Excellent practice for writing and recall. Also great that you can select particular kana to focus on and track statistics over time.
Perfect
Amazing app for Japanese
Great app
very helpful for learning and understanding Japanese! I wish it could teach about grammar though, i’ve been looking for some extra help on that.
Perfect!
If you want to train yourself on hiraganas and katakanas: this app does it better than all the other ones, for free.
THIS IS IT!!! this is it!!!
This is it! This is what I need. I just need to write the characters 100 ... 500... 1,000 times a day or a month. Yeah, you can practice language in Duolingo, but you cannot improve your writing if you don’t do this.THIS. Cheers mate. It’s best to use it with a pen and a tablet. Cheers mate.
It’s a bit better then doligo
I’m been trying this out hoping to draw the characters and learn them at the same time like how duligo teaches kanji, but it’s just a practice mode and lacks a scary owl to keep you going, would love to like have test in drawing the characters like と make me draw this a ton till I can rember what it says
Extremely helpful
A fantastic learning tool for drilling a new alphabet
