Thank you!
couldn't ask for more from a free app! android users have all kinds of nifty tools to do this kind of thing so it's nice that someone took the time to make something for ios. Thank you!
Yes, Kantan Manga is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.

This app can be a little rough around the edges at times, but nonetheless I find myself using it every day. No other app offers the same functionality as this one.
Really useful manga reader for learning Japanese. The OCR and general UX isn’t perfect, but the app is free and it sure beats rewriting kanji on another device to look up definitions!
Many manga files are mobi,so please support it!
Firstly, thank you so much Juan. This app is the only one of its kind on the App Store and it has been a big boom to my Japanese immersion. I do have a two requests though: 1. Is it possible to save the list of words that were looked up? (that way I can make Anki cards later) 2. The ability to read txt files or webpages. They’re other apps on the AppStore that allow this, but I haven’t found any that allows you to import your own dictionaries which your app does so well. Maybe this could be a different app with a similar code base minus the OCR.
When I try to find out what the word i it gives the wrong words help
This app has a lot of potential to be great, you got : the ability to load your manga in it regardless of page limit, it can ocr an image within seconds, and it has a built in dictionary. I love it! Ha ha, I can see me using this a lot ( no joke, I WILL be using this a lot lol) in addition with kanjitomo( a desktop program) it’ll be a lot easier to read this Japanese anatomy book I recently got and am in the middle of trying to translate into English. I do hope in the future that we can have a text to speech option if possible, idk I just think it would be a cool addition you don’t have to though. Also it be cool to add translated words into a page ( with Furigana , maybe) so itd be easier to read if someone has gotten the Kana down or to place Furigana on an entire page or pdf file. Ha ha I know I’m asking for WAAAAAAY to much but I just like the idea behind this app and want to see it grow. Thanks for making it👍
This is almost everything I hoped for an app. I appreciate that you added the feature to load custom dictionaries. I was wondering if recursive search is planned in a future update? It would totally make it easier for those who are in the monolingual transition.
Simple and easy to use!! Perfect for my Japanese learning journey. Thanks!!
