🤔 The KEXP app's quality is mixed. Some users are satisfied, while others report issues. Consider reading individual reviews for more context.
I love KEXP, so let’s get that out now. The app, however, is a work in progress. It does some ‘extra’ things very well (capturing faves, giving playlist info on bands played, etc) but does some basic radio app things in a strange way (want to skip forward 10mins or back an hour? Good luck with that, you’d need to know a) when the show started and b) the duration of all the songs and airbreaks to this point to know where you are, and thus be able to skip forward or back by minutes in a meaningful way).
What I wouldn’t give for a ‘Skip forward or back’ button!
Just perfect
The modern world is full of so much stress which can contribute to poor mental health. I find that KEXP provide a very stimulating yet relaxing variety of music which can ease the stresses of the day. The music and the way it is presented, can almost make you feel inclusive to the way it’s being expressed. I personally feel this radio station brings a contrast of the best - new music and live sets for everyone to enjoy.
With the app, you are able to enjoy live radio and download songs or shows to listen to anytime.
Being a listener from Bristol, England, I am unfortunately in a different time zone to KEXP’s live shows. However, this does, in no way dull my experience while listening.
Download and enjoy a fantastic choice of music from a wide variety of bands, some you may already know and some you will discover. Nonetheless, with KEXP and their brilliant shows.
Terrible audio quality
Just listen from the browser instead. For some reason the quality form the app is much, much worse. Such a shame
Great app but crashes now
Really enjoy KEXP radio and the app is really good, but since iOS updated to 11.2.1 it doesn’t run for me anymore :(

I love the station, but this app is horrible
Best radio station on the planet....
.... But this app lets it down on listen again. The constant stream error gets really frustrating after a while. Listen live is cool though. Long live KEXP but fix the glitch.
Crashes
This app crashes on the ipad everytime you go to archives....
Fantastic update
Great new features! Loving that I can now listen to the streaming archive through the app. Only one little hiccup: the app kept crashing on startup after I updated. Deleting the app and then re-installing it sorted it out though.
Great app to listen to great music
I listen to KEXP from the UK and have no problems with the streaming. And I can minimise the app and it still plays. If you want to listen to good music, download this!!
No streaming if the app isn't open
It's a shame that you must keep open the app to listen the streaming! I hope this problem can be fixed one of this days! Thank KEXP for make life enjoyable trough music that matters!
