Description

Make math practice STIMULATING and FUN with this easy-to-play game for elementary age kids. It looks like a game and it plays like a game, but it’s really a super fun, fast-paced way for elementary age kids to improve their addition and multiplication confidence and speed.
WHAT THE EXPERTS SAY
We tested KidgitZ with the experts -- the kids -- and here’s what they told us:
“It looks just like my dad’s game, not one of those baby games.” Max, 8
“Playing it is better than doing those worksheets.” Sophie, 6
“My mom even lets me use it in the car.” Stephanie, 7
EASY AND ENGAGING INTERFACE
The bright colors and simple layout of the interface are just like our original game DigitZ*. Kids can start playing immediately.
SKILL BUILDING
Kids pick a target number (from 4 to 12) and the number tiles start falling. Tapping number combinations that add up (or multiply) to the target number eliminates those tiles, but more tiles keep falling. Kids are so busy keeping ahead of the tiles, they don’t even notice that they’re practicing their addition and multiplication facts and getting faster at them too.
STYLE THE TILES
Kids can personalize their game by choosing their favorite tile styles, keeping the the game interesting and challenging.
PRESS
"Addictive, it is! Students were so engaged that they never even heard the bell ring and the next period was lunch and recess! Several students came looking for me and my iPad to continue playing during extra help. Their responses were all similar, with mentions of how hard it was to stop playing this AWESOME game! " -- Teachers with Apps
"KidgitZ is a perfect game for both kids and adults. If you are a parent you can get the most useful and entertaining app for your kids this season. It not only will make kids faster and sharper in calculation but will also fetch more fun in their leisure time. " -- iPhone Footprint

Kidgitz A Perfect 10!

Maggie104 on

United States

On Wednesday, May 18, I downloaded the brand new numbers game called Kidgitz only a week after I downloaded its mother game, I suppose you should call it--known as Digitz, which only uses numbers 1 to 9 (a la Cross Sums followed by Sudoku). But Kidgitz, as I had found out, uses the digits 0 through 9, plus 10, 11, and 12 if you select 12 as the target number--and it's a 5-star rating that should be a perfect 10! (Digitz no longer appears on my i-Pod.) And I found out who made this game, too! The company who did is called Tap Dream Arts, whose location happens to be in Vancouver, Canada. The new game was downloaded on my i-Pod on an anniversary that I actually remember--it was exactly 20 years to the day (1991) that I was in Vancouver on a week-long vacation trip with three girls--and still remember their names: the girls were Brenda (who was our group leader), Janice, and Terri! And their hockey team, the Vancouver Canucks, played the San Jose Sharks in the NHL Stanley Cup playoffs, and won 7-3! So about the only thing Kidgitz does not have as yet is higher target numbers: while Digitz would have to increase the target number to 50 for its grown-up version, Kidgits should go as high as 30, and also add tiles 13 to 20 in a random order! That's almost twice as fun as doing 0 to 12! (For the record, at least two tiles would have to be removed at once.)
