While it allows me to link to my kiln and see the current temperature, it’s not much more helpful than that. I would like to see alerts for errors with sound notifications and also sounds for the alarms set in the program, for instance I usually set an alarm for 1,000 degrees during the firing and it would be helpful to have that alarm ring through my phone app. Access to the graph of the program running would be helpful too.

I was very excited about this feature but unfortunately the app is inconsistent. It often loses connection with the kiln and is unable to reconnect. I don’t trust this app to give me an accurate reading when I’m outside of the studio. Hoping for an update soon so this issue gets resolved.

UPDATE: I got it working again by updating the firmware on my kiln controller. It’s only been one day but so far it is working again. Now if I could only make adjustments to the program as it is firing. I used the app fine for awhile. Packed up my kiln a year ago to move and got it back out recently and now it doesn’t work at all. Getting the same error everyone else reviewing reports. Tried deleting the app and trying to start over but no luck.

I can add my kiln but app gives a message “we could not get data for this kiln at this time” Also, hard to find a link for customer support

This app fails to work consistently, sometimes is connected,other times not with no reason as to why. I try everything to make it work with few successes. I can not rely on this app at all.

Worked the first fire then it wouldn’t recognize the kiln barcode or serial number. The kiln is great though, I love it.

Scanned the barcode or input manually the serial number. Either way doesn’t work. And no help given. Website is useless for getting help. Paid a lot for these wifi kilns to get so little in return.

Just download updated firmware its right on the menu. I also had to reinstall app on phone. Works great now!

Would be great to have the app give a notification when the kiln alarm goes off. Also access to the history of fires. For those losing connection during fire, you just need to fully close the app to reconnect. A bit of a pain but it works.

Great concept but this app needs some major updates. Seems like it has been completely neglected. My kiln is brand new, firmware is up-to-date, and connected to the wifi perfectly. This app never shows my kiln as connected and hitting the refresh button does nothing. Pretty bummed because remote monitoring via app was one of the selling points for the kmt controller.
