The app downloaded fine, the device responds with sound and light. There is no indication any Bluetooth connection is happening. I’d recommend a first party product if there is a need.

My father bought this, hoping to help forgetful family members not lose their belongings so frequently. It turns on, at least. But does not connect, or is even found/acknowledged by any phones tried. The app is sketchy as is the company and I highly doubt this is actually a Vivitar product. A scam through and through.

The instructions with the device are not intuitive. They depict images of pages from the app that the app doesn’t even have, or the app should have them but only loads a blank screen. The device sound when it turns on or off is very low so I missed it the first couple time I pressed the button. The instructions say the light on device will continue blinking when it’s on but that is not the case. When the button is released, the light does not return. The device does not pair to app because of all of this.

Purchased for $5 at popshelf, would’ve never purchased if I saw the reviews. Unfortunately you don’t know the app/device doesn’t work until you purchase, download and try to connect! Will be returning asap

The app says bluetooth is not on although bluetooth is on so can't pair the beacon. I can't use it if I can't pair it. Junk!

It connected once, for 20 seconds and now I can’t find it at all using the app. It’s complete junk. Don’t waste your money or time with this device/app. Stay away!

Haven’t opened the app in a few days and now I can’t even even get it to connect. absolute garbage. Just spend the extra money and get a tile. At least they work.
