Description

A hybrid of challenging turn-based strategy and customizable card collection gameplay set in a medieval fantasy universe.

CAMPAIGNS
Gather your armies, ready your spells and delve into an engaging single player campaign. Complete missions for each of the 4 factions to gain more cards and immerse yourself in the unique story of each of Humans, Undead, Orcs, and Elves. With more chapters released each season, unravel the epic story arc underpinning the Kingdom Draw universe.

ONLINE LADDER PLAY
Pit yourself against other players from around the world with cross-platform ladder play. Do you have what it takes to ascend the ladder with every victory and reap your rewards? At the end of each season, earn bonus rewards for how high you progressed up the ladder. Make it to the Titan league to have your alias displayed (and glorified for all time) in the Hall of Fame.

DECK BUILDING
Buy randomised card packs with gems earned through ladder play and campaigns; or redeem victory tokens to obtain specific cards of your choice. Build your own custom, synergising decks to dominate your opponents and become a Titan of Kingdom Draw. With 185 distinct cards to collect, and more cards being released each season, you can always craft new variations to trial out in battle.

TURN-BASED STRATEGY
Hone your turn-based strategy skills. Matches in Kingdom Draw take place on a hexagonal grid where you play army, support, and beast cards on the map. Strategically control locations to earn more resources, take advantage of terrain, and be the first to destroy your opponent’s castle. Use power cards to decimate your enemies, alter your cards’ combat effectiveness, and modify the terrain.

FRIENDLY MATCHES
Looking for something more casual? Stick with the devil you know and add friends to challenge them to friendly battles. Friendly battles do not alter your ladder ranking or provide rewards, so you can trial your deck creations in a more relaxed arena.

Kingdom Draw Reviews

Cynical Lousy

Oooof. Not such a bad game but strongly driven by IA purchases to either complete scenarios or win ladder games. Very cynical, not worth the grind.

Playing Today, I Don’t Understand the Mixed Reviews

A Long Lost Man on

This game is not, nor I do think it ever had the potential to be, a “5-star game” in the way that most people would want it to be. The game feels a bit clunky, the explanation on how everything works is more of a ‘as you go’ than it is ‘here you go’ (personally I don’t mind a lack of handholding, but being able to find “help” or “guide” in the settings would be nice). The thing that annoyed me most was the lack of terrain/movement explanation. I couldn’t find anywhere that there are hills AND mountains. I don’t know if hills give a ‘high ground’ advantage, but mountains can only be traversed by flying units. Unless your unit ignores movement penalties (flying) then you’ll spend a turn crossing water (at first I just assumed you couldn’t cross water with foot units, until the enemy crossed the river). And mounted units don’t have a +1 movement compared to foot soldiers. I didn’t realize that the gems were per faction until I finally went to make my first purchase and the menu said as much. Nothing mentioned in a setting or visible somewhere. I didn’t see a catalogue with all the cards per faction to look at, so the only way to find out what else exists is by getting it. And there were a few other gripes. HOWEVER, with all that said, I still give it a solid 4 stars. The game is a good game. It has a little bit of flavor from story text. It takes some learning, but if you just play one or two rounds per faction then you can figure out what you like and run with it. And the most important thing for most people (and the reason why it’s a solid 4-star and not a mid 3-star) is that the game supports F2P. The cards play into the game very well. 100% recommend giving the game a go if you’ve been looking for some turn-based combat.

poorly balanced trash

as per title, the game puts you in scenarios that are essentially unsinkable unless you pay money to buy packs to make your default deck sobering better than crap

Hard to Play

Gman TCG on

United States

Glad that the developer addressed the login issue. This game has some interesting points but obviously the developer is not very experienced with game design. It's almost impossible to figure out how to win a single match as a new player unless you're persistent and/or skilled with card games. The starting human deck is designed extremely poorly as well. The first mission is easier once you fix the terrible deckbuild. The fact that you can choose other decks by clicking arrows next to the deck icon is also never explained. All in all this is a very difficult game to even begin playing, so hard to imagine even spending enough time getting to know it. The developer should keep trying as some ideas are good, but really needs to focus more on UX. Label things. Explain things. Make sure the first time a player plays that he wins easily and learns as a result.

Hard to read

Healstorm57 on

The text on the cards is so small that it’s difficult to read. This game looked interesting and I wanted to try it, but I’d rather not get a migraine from eye strain. The game could use a enlarge text option for mobile phone users. If the game gets this feature where I can actually read the cards I’ll download it again and give it a try.

Nice production but broken campaign

artfoundry on

Production value is great, and first game in the undead campaign was fun. I got my reward pack - nothing amazing but a couple nice cards. Then...I tried the second battle in the campaign. It was SO thoroughly unbalanced in the enemy's favor it was ridiculous. Their cards were WAY more powerful. There is no way you can win without swapping out most of your deck for better cards - with decks being 40 cards, packs only being 6, and probably only getting maybe 2 useful cards from each pack, that's maybe 15 packs you'd need? You could get four from playing the first campaign mission for each of the four factions, and from what I understand from other's comments, you'd need to win 4 multiplayer battles for just one pack. So that's about 50 games you'd need to win to MAYBE get a good enough deck to win the second campaign battle?? Screw that. Or you could spend $6 to get 20 packs, which to be honest isn't too bad. But I'm not spending money on a gamble like that.

Excellent tactical strategy card game! It’s more engaging to play as your favorite faction due to the unique mechanics and the art isn’t overly cartoonish or “realistic”. It’s really quite enjoyable, but it also doesn’t feel quite finished as the UX can be a bit stiff and unrefined, or unintuitive. There also appears to have been no consideration in designing for the iPhone camera notch. The worst part for me is the lack of optimization. I’m running on iPhone 13 Pro 15.6 and within a couple of matches of gameplay my device is heating up so intensely And I lose about 15% of my battery.

Must register w/ Apple ID. No way!

Cool idea that’s poorly executed.

I’ve tried every race and have only been able to be competitive on one tutorial mission. Unless I get insanely lucky and the AI plays poorly I just get train wrecked. Tried to play one ladder game and got bored waiting before anything happened. On iPhone it’s hard to see your “power” which makes it frustrating.

Unique but flawed

Nfeyvf on

Kingdom Draw is an interesting take on the ccg genre with a flawed execution. I love the fact you don’t just play cards and instead get to maneuver them around the map allowing for the game to be more tactical than most ccgs, unfortunately that’s about where it ends at the moment. You can really only get past the first level of each campaign before hitting an immediate road block due to how poor most of the starting cards are only allowing each faction to get 1 pack of 6 cards which will most likely not give you the push past the second level as most of your deck is still filled with subpar basic cards. So that then leads to the multiplayer to get more cards to progress in the campaign. Unfortunately, at the time that I’m writing this, the game is very barren and took almost 15 minutes before getting into a match before the opponent conceded immediately and I had to wait 15 minutes again to get into another match. So that’s roughly a 15 minute wait to potentially earn 1/4 of a pack as winning a multiplayer match grants you 25 gems of the faction you are playing. There are also quests to earn more of said gems for each faction but after completing a match I had realized that none of them progressed despite fulfilling some of the requirements so the quests also seem to be broken at the moment. Again a unique game that I hope gets more notice and improvements but at the moment it is just disappointing. Update on quests: quests may not be bugged but instead only progress if you win the match as I have only seen progression for quests after winning. If it is not a bug and quests just do not progress if you don’t win then it’s a poor implementation of them. In most CCGs quests progress regardless of wether you win or not and this one should be no exception.
