Yes, you heard right the game is paid to win but if you do spend some money in the game, you will get some extra level extra towers, extra heroes and so much more to me. I feel like the games worth it if you’re going to spend some money on this game, I would recommend you to spend 20 Canadian dollars on the two expansion packs. That’s all I would buy.

Vengeance is probably one if the better instalments of the Kingdom rush franchise. It provides a refreshed look on the original kingdom rush map. It is interesting to follow the story from Vez’nans perspective for a change. The concept of premium towers is questionable but there are a lot of cool free towers as well. Vengeance has noticeably more levels compared to origins and rivals the amount offered by original kingdom rush. Enemies are presented in a wide variety. Overall it is definitely worth a buy.
The play mechanics have changed for this game as compared to previous Kingdom Rush games. New and interesting. Lots of fun to play. I have played all the way through on normal and campaign can be played without purchasing additional heroes, towers or jewels. Purchasing the additional heroes and towers do add to the replay value. I assume that additional mini campaigns will show up later on with upgrades. I do go back and replay the Kingdom Rush games. Some players like to replay campaigns using variants of strategies. Lack of player slots could hurt replay value of the game.

Why are we subjected to crazy high costs for things such as a new tower or hero. $6 for a tower? Sigh.... Just paid $9 for 5 maps!!?? I was expecting an actual expansion.
I liked that you could see the difficulty you beat each level on in the older games, and the endless stages as well where you could try out interesting strategies. These would be simple additions to the game that would make it much more fun like the old ones.
I have been playing KR for almost 10 years and going through different versions. What impresses me most is the variety within the consistency of the design. It is definitely the first must-try for tower defence.
