KINTO Australia Reviews

Stupid App

Jay N156 on

Australia

Sometimes just cannot login; randomly load “current journey” instead of the function user needs; working unstable when moving to low signal area. Anyways, great call center and customer support.

Great but App needs tweaking

Deejaay11 on

Love the service but the app is full of bugs needs more attention and regular updates and maintenance.

Horrible app full of bugs and problems

Yaegmoth on

I was a heavy kinto user and the number of its I came across was amazing. The date screens are broken on new versions of iOS, it instantly cancels your membership anytime a dollar is owing when it randomly bills you for amounts like tolls, the cars hardly ever had parking passes in them and the quality of cars was terrible with several complaints I had to make about being full of ash, windows so dirty I couldn’t see out of them etc. Use GoGet, Popcar or anything else because kinto is buggy, slow, out of date and an overall poor experience.

Fantastic

This is the third time I’ve used KINTO as opposed to any of the mainstream car hire companies, all I can say is what a fantastic service. My last rental had a missing fuel card which I reported by calling the 1300 number. The only criticism I would have is the state some people return the cars, I had to wash and vacuum my last hire as it was left quite messy. People should be a little more considerate and return the cars in a condition they would expect to receive it in.

First KINTO experience

Ian Etherington on

Our experience was fantastic. Everything is so simple via the app. As a fuel card is included you only pay for the km you travel. We sustained a puncture and needed to use the spare wheel and uploading the problem through the app could not be easier. My wife is now registered with KINTO and I will get my boys to do likewise. Will you be expanding overseas?

Good idea, poor execution

The Wizard of Auz on

Australia

I want to like KINTO. And, as an idea, I really do. Walk up to a car, open the app and drive away. Great, right? Only, the execution doesn’t let you do that. The sign-up process was clunky and required someone manually review my application. I was standing there in the parking lot trying to hire my car and not getting anywhere — it needed a phone call to KINTO for them to manually verify my ID (they were very helpful, but I’m told it normally takes 24 hours to process). The app is, I’m afraid, terrible. The user experience is not at all intuitive, the interface is full of bugs (the time picker for the pickup and drop off time, for example, was smeared all over the screen and wouldn’t allow me to adjust anything other than the minutes) and slow. It really feels like the app has been put together on a really tight budget with limited expertise. For Toyota to put their name to it, you kind of expect a high quality experience. KINTO is not that, even though the idea is good. Poorly executed and if they don’t lift their game rapidly, I’m sure a competitor will spring up doing those basic things well and gobble up the market KINTO is trying to access.

App could win an award

…for the worlds worst app. Honestly unusable.

Broome Trip

JRB RC on

Australia

I have used KINTO a number of times since it’s conception and I was very pleased to see that KINTO is now supported in Broome. The car is easy walking distance from the airport (5 minutes). A quality car, fair prices and very handy to have to get around. Rohan

Constant bugs

uughctdfv hv on

Australia

Constant bugs with making a booking for months. Can’t select a time because the screen gets messed up and you can’t turn the wheels to select correct time. Told them multiple times but as usual they try turn you into tech support. So many times I’ve turned upto cars and not been able to take them because they’re either not physically there or they have a flat battery or some other issue. When you return a car early you still get charged for the full booking not what you actually use The customer seems to always come last with this company. I’ve been late returning a car by an hour (at 1am might I add) and been charged a late fee. But when ever it’s their fault I can’t take a car and I have to Uber somewhere else they’ve never once been forthcoming with some sort of financial apology or even a discount. And heaven forbid you express your displeasure with them then they just disable your account. Not sure if you realise your not a finance company KINTO you’re a leisure automotive brand. Give your customers some slack and take responsibility when you’re wrong
