Fun game but characters randomly dissapear

As title states ^ what exactly is going on. Why am I investing into characters, watching 50 ads for upgrading a single character just for them to never show up to work again?? Like excuse me

I paid for no advert and the cat but I am still forced to watch advert and the chief upgrade force you to watch advert regardless of paid to remove advert.

i purchased no ads for £1.99 as it looked like it could be a decent game and I get paid soon anyway. I still received “no internet connection” pop ups and was unable to play without internet
