The new version takes this from being an average app to a leader in its class. The new display is crisp and clear. The interface is much improved as are the ways of personalising it. With the latest update, this is now a first class app.
Really good app. Use it regularly
You need your device unlocked for the alarms to sound. A major oversight.
So, you have to cook half a dozen things for different lengths of time but this app won't work out start times. It only allows you to set end times. It's no better than having multiple stopwatches.
Ok, so it's a great idea and it looks good (the graphics haven't been updated for retina, so it doesn't look *great*) but the functionality is basically limited to multiple timers all running together. So if your problem is knowing when to *stop* something from cooking, then sure, you'll find this useful. But surely, the whole point behind any cooking timer app is to let you know when to *start* cooking something? You need alarms going off when it's "time to put the rice on," in the bigger scheme of a meal for example. I can't see how you'd use this app for anything other than having all the alarms from all your different timers going off all at once (i.e. when your meal's ready)! But you'd still have to have some alternative method for reminding yourself when to *start* all the various meal components. Really not very useful.
Since the last update, the timer pad is shown in the wrong orientation!
I loved this app b4 update now it is unusable please fix :-(
Good gadget, I love it. I fully understand what peeps are saying about it only working if nothing else is open, but that is not a problem to me because I only use it on my iPad, I really do recommend it. I cook lots and at a glance can tell what is ready.

I think the idea behind this product is very clever and useful (it's easy to set timers and the interface looks good) however, as of Feb 2012 the app's push notifications and alarms don't work when the app is running in the background or if the phone is on standby, which reduces the app's usefulness rather a lot.
