Eh
It's a good start, but the local news section doesn't update. Weather/sports/AP etc all update daily though. This app also needs local breaking news push alerts.
Yes, Klamath Herald and News is completely free and it doesn't have any in-app purchases or subscriptions.
Not enough reviews to make a reliable assessment. The app needs more user feedback.

Good good good
Not a good ap at all. Basically worthless when it comes to online new stories.
This app opens fast, is easy to use and updated often. Unfortunately it doesn't support paid subscriber login and access is severely limited. Displays nicely.
Herald and Snooze strikes again. Click on local news and everyone else's local news but KF. Don't bother even clicking on the other sections - there's nothing there.
It seems that every time H&N attempts to the transfer of news via electronic means they spend more time floundering than succeeding. This app is a step in the right direction but lacks in several severe ways: -No support for subscriber access to the full paper -No iPad support -No landscape orientation support -Limited news categories & news placed in categories where that news doesn't even belong -No paid app option or download/sign-in option to remove ads from the application Like the online edition rendered by Olive Software this app is not powerful enough, or user-friendly enough, for me to be willing to use it on a daily basis. I simply want a way to read a copy of the newspaper on my mobile devices without having to deal with a terrible user-interface. If the development of this app follows true to form for H&N it'll probably be a long time before we see the support for paying subscribers which should be automatically rendered by H&N.
